Comes from the Scourge invasion prior to the release of Wrath of the Lich King. I know the legs seem to drop off the mob that spawns when you kill a bunch of the undead at the invasion points.

Chest and legs are dropped by Shadows of Doom, and the gloves and shoulders are sold by the Argent Dawn Quartermaster for 15 Necrotic Runes each.

This set slides in between Karazhan Gear and level 70 Quest Gear. If your a 70 who's fresh from the oven,you mine as well pick these up while farming Necrotic Runes.

On a side note,maybe the Leggings were directed to Feral DPS Druids due to the kilt look. Stat-wise both Rogue and Druid would do good with it.

In my humble opinion, for a feral druid who's nudging 68 right now, I would love to get my hands on this set. First off I really like the look, but I guess not everyone agrees. Secondly it's one of those sets that's a show piece for the most part. Anyonw who has this put in their time during the invasion and gathered all the pieces, not as easy a feat as some may think (maybe other servers are different), seeing as most people on my server just seem to complain about the whole invasion rather than participate in it.

Those few who do participate have all the crystal spawn points heavily camped, and they launch their aoe's on a constant basis to try and nab kill rights on any mob that comes close.

I would say kudos to anyone that net's this set, or any of the other 3 sets for that matter.

Stat wise I'd just like to note the huge haste rating boost. That's going to be killer if you add chants to it for some serious dps!

As a fresh lvl 70 rogue it was nice to be able to get some easy epics without having to try and farm honor and marks from doing bgs. I have the full set and while as a rogue it is odd to be wearing a skirt for leggings it isn't to bad. The set bonus isn't really that useful for killing most of the mobs in raids and heroics but the bonuses that each piece gives you is pretty nice. At least they are not welfare epics and it is nice having the full set because it shows you put time into farming for the chest and legs. I have had quite a few people on my realm congratulate me on having them as they are not as easy to get as some would think. lol Good luck to all those trying to get the whole set it takes patience but is worth it imo.

One of the reasons i dont care for the caster classes is the large amount dresses and skirts regardless of the toons gender. So i recently get my rogue to 70 and join in the fun battling scourge and these legs drop from a silver elite. Happy ? You bet im happy right up to the point where i put them on and realize im wearing a *$&#(&@ skirt!

Grinding these mobs is also not a bad way to farm void crystals.

A friend and I have been doing this nearly every evening, with a AOE-specced level 70 Protection Paladin and a level 62 Holy Paladin. The plate drops are of almost no use for either of us, so there's really no loss.

An additional note, on the elites more generally. While farming, we had some run-ins with apparent griefers on our PVE server. By summoning all of the remaining elites (at a cost of 24 runes, of course) while we were doing one, and then the alleged griefers running these 3 elites to my consecrate, we were dead meat. When we had come back and the Shadows of Doom had reset, it turned out to be impossible to pull only one of the elites out of the 4 surrounding the crystal.

Glad i kept this set in the bank for some unknown reason.
Its a fun set to Transmog my rogue with! Those who aren't used to seeing this set think i'm a druid and think i'm an easy healer kill.
