Imo, the Swashbuckler's breastplate and gloves, along with Basilisk Hide Pants (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=1718#)make a nice RPing set if you like red. Although the pants can be quite expensive as they're ideal for level 39 rogue twinks.

For those who are grinding the eye-patch, the best thing to do is to stay around the Swamp of Sorrows and the Blasted Lands. Once you've done your rounds, killing the multiple rares and handing in the boxes to the Lost One, grind in the Sunken Temple. The drop rate is low, but it's a good place to try obtain the Eyepatch while you wait for respawns.
Not only is it a compact instance, with mobs close together, and the exit close at hand at all times, but it's right next to the two major points with the highest percentage for the helm in the first place. There is also a town for both Horde and Alliance outside in the Swamp, so you can sell and repair before re-entering. At least, that's what I've been doing to grind this near impossible helm.

You can also access both maps, plus the instance, almost instantly through the portal which puts you outside the Dark Portal as well. Which makes travelling to and from much easier.
