Since for druid weapons the stats are all that matter (the weapon dps and speed does not affect bear / cat form at all); boasting so many stats it makes this one of the best weapons for a feral druid until much higher level.

This weapon would be very nice for an lvl 30 feral dr00d if u enchant it with Savagery... that would be 107 AP in normal form! so if u got the money ur dr00d could go to STV with a smile on it's face

this is typically cheap, 10g, plus or minus 3, and is definitely worth picking up on the older servers. the only competition it might have at this level for a 2h shaman, a druid, a pally, or a warr is the cobalt crusher, only for its proc of 100ish damage. imho at least. feel free to tell me if there's something better.

Did they perhaps mean "vicious" hammer? Unless of course, this hammer has a high fluid resistance to movement.

even though the weapon level of this item is 35, you still cannot enchant such things as savagery sadly.
so either that rare BOE or https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=9408 from uld.
lot of lvls to wait though.

Randomly looted from a chest in SM, my friend was dismayed when I said I'd go to AH with it then give to his warrior, though I needed the gold pretty badly.

Adding to my 40 mount gold, just enough to get it. Hope the buyer was happy with his purchase :)

Awesome hammer looking at the raw stats. I was planning to get https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=7710 for my druid and enchant that with +25 agil, but I checked the AH and found this beauty, same stats but with +6 stam. Slapped a +25 agil and Nothing should replace it for a LONG while.

Note: I'm still gonna get https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=7710 for my druid pimp set. Got the tux set, just gonna need https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=25682 to finish it up :P

Is this weapon also a good choice for a retribution paladin (blood elf, playing with burning crusade)? I know an ideal weapon for a ret pally is a slow 2h weapon... I also have 'Burning War Axe', so what's the best weapon for me? Or should i maybe look for another, which can be quite easily obtained?

Note: Corpsemaker may be the best weapon for me but I haven't found a way yet to get it...

If you look at pure stats, this gives 34 AP, and an additional 6 AP due to the 3 strength. This carries over to both Cat and Bear forms, increasing your total AP by 40, and your stamina by 60.

In terms of AP stats, this is the best feral druid weapon for almost half the leveling to 60. It isn't until these few items drop for me that I will replace this:

Just got this from a mob at the Go'shek farm in the arathi highlands. But good luck to those of you trying to farm mobs for this, its a world drop I expect. Meaning it can drop from ANY mob ANYWHERE in the WoW, but the drop chance per kill is probably only around 0.05% So you can expect to have to kill 10,000+ mobs before you see this drop. You'll find it quicker to get 40 stacks of silk and sell it all on the AH for around 65s each to get the 20-30 gold you'll need to just buy the hammer.

I just put it mine up in the AH for 25g or 30g buyout. Hopefully it will sell for that. I thought it would cost me about 1g in deposit to auction but its only 64s for 24 hours.

I already have 65g in my wallet and I'm a level 36 (night elf hunter)so if this sells for the asking price its basically my level 40 mount paid for, 4 levels before I can even buy it.

This is pretty much THE kick ass weapon for feral druids from like lvl 30 - 35 after that rare drop weps are avaliable but this still kicks r5ight up into the forties... the additional meelee attack power is perfect for cat form and you may notice that all the stats can be carried over to cat and bear forms... it really is a druid wep and even possibly a druid balance wep as its reasonably fast for a mace and the stamina and strength bonus always helps... lvl 30 druids... if ya can get ur hands on this bad boy... do so... it will kick for at least ten levels.

Yeah this is a great weapon and all but people are saying that they used this till like 47 and stuff. By then u can get greens with 2x the dps and 2-4x the stats. If ur using this at 47 u should visit the AH some time. I had a 1h with the same dps as this and better stats at 34.

Hi everyone,

I bought this nice wep yesterdays on my server for 19.5 g...seemed like a fair price (especially when my main makes that in 30 mins :D)

My plan is to use it with my retro specced (bloodelf)paladin alt when he hits lvl 30. I see everyone here is cheerin about this weapon for feral druids...which I understand!

Does anyone have any thought on this wep for a retro specced pala? I assumed its stats are very beneficial to one, but I'm interested in your thoughts.

I don't want to know if you think a drood would benefit more...just want to know if you think there is a better wep for a pala at lvl 30.

ok when i was a lvl 29 i thought wow my weapon sucked, so i go to thottbot, looked at this weapon and said man i gotta get this, went to the ah payed 6g maybe a bit low, maybe i got lucky, but i have yo say this is the best investment i ever made, finnaly it got replaced by the bonebiter

Just picked this up on Silvermoon AH for only 2.70 GP!

It had no buyout - and when I bid it was at 2.70 GP!

Not sure why no one else wanted to bid on it, and another is on AH atm for 5gp/15gp - which still seems somewhat cheap.

Either way I'm happy - going to use this for my RET BE Pally for a bit.

Yep, Gelkis in Desolace, i got it while in a group of 2, it was a lvl 32 spellcaster Gelki, Windchaser or something... I was just doing the faction quest from Ghost Walker Post (Horde). I couldn't believe it, awesome hammer :)

Dropped off a plains creeper near Refuge Pointe, right when I got my 30 too. Its a good step from Verigan's Fist, a pally only weapon, to this. I enjoy it, get usually about 120 dmg per hit and about a 260 dmg crit.

I just ran Scarlet Monastery solo at 61 for the achievement, and got 2 of these! One in the Library out of a chest, and one in the Armory out of a chest. AND I got the Scarlet tabard too! Awesome! :)
