The only green "witch's hat" in the game. As far as I know it's not exactly easy to farm, so if you're lucky enough to find it on an alt, hold on to it.

I checked the auction house every day for this hat with no success, so I decided to farm it. I went to the Southern Barrens and killed Deviate Crones for about an hour for three days before it dropped for me.

For those that don't know those two enemies are part of an Alliance quest and a low level elite accompanies them. A good trick is to kill the Crones first then kite Three-Tooth away until it resets. The Crones will respawn and it makes farming the hat a lot easier.

Since the Crones are part of a quest please be mindful of any low level adventurers trying to complete the quest.

I have now killed 1200 deviate crones, without any luck.

SO if you're going to farm this, you're either going to have alot of patience or be really lucky..

Well, on with the farming.

EDIT: 2200 kills and still no hat. I've gotten several items with lower droprate, but no the hat.

I lucked out and found one of these at the AH for 50 silver. It's not the nicest looking hat but the stats definatly make up.
