12/12 "of the Monkey" is in high demand because of its usefulness to many classes in the 39 bracket. It is the best available helm (for straight statistics) in the bracket for hunters, rogues, feral druids and enhancement shamans. Druids and shamans may prefer "of the Bear" for balance, depending on their own current stat values.

However, for physical damage melee classes seeking higher sustained damage output, Expert Goldminer's Helmet trumps this.

the "of the monkey" variation of this helm with the correct RNG proc makes it 1 stam better than Nightscape Headband for level 39 twink hunter/rogues. nightscape headband is more popular and often becomes more expensive than this helm, making this the perfect grab for the 39 bracket. it is not best in slot so to say but it is a cheap alternative.
