There was a time when this chestpiece was more sought after than the Lightforge breastplate, considering they were far, far easier to get and have a higher droprate.

Along with items such as the Chitinous Plate Legguards (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=18739), these items were considered alternative (and superior, depending on who you asked) entry level raid healing sets for Paladins.

Alternately known as the "Energized Breasts-plate" *cough* this item has a very... revealing model on females. It covers the breasts and upper shoulders. It's red and gold, so it looks especially nice on female blood elves. It's about as close as you are going to get to "Slave Leia."

This item exists in a few colors:

Warrior's Embrace - black.
Lofty breastplate - green//gray.
Energized chestplate - pink-yellow.
Nether-protector's chest/ Vanguard breastplate - bluish (same model).
Glorious breastplate - yellow.

The lofty, vanguard and glorious pieces have full matching sets of BoE greens, designed for level 50-somethings, which are sometimes available on the auction house for low prices. Takes extensive AH-hunting in the long term to complete a set. Good luck collecting these!

As of patch 4.0.3 and the release of Cataclysm, this is now mail armor instead of plate - allowing it to be worn by shaman and hunters.

EDIT: This is even more important information now with Transmogrification available to us, as this is the only mail chest armor to use this graphic of any color. All other 'plate-kini's' like this are plate.

Is there any leggings that go nicely with this chest besides the Gambali Corazzati della Gloria ? I like the colors of this chest more then the regular Pettorale Corazzato della Gloria . This is Basutei's chest, a paladin in the Illegal Danish series. I'm really disappointed that it's been turned into mail, in the next patch I was planning on transmogging my paladin's gear into his, but now it won't be a perfect copy :( Glorious Breastplate seems to be the closest plate alternative for anyone trying to match his gear.

Edit: Check this on a male model. This is indeed the chest he wore in the Illegal Danish Super Snacks film.

Unfortunately for us mail wearers, this sexy piece only comes in a gold and puke-pink color.

I'm starting to think this chest piece is an enigma. I've killed this boss over 30 times and for having almost a 20% drop chance... I can't believe I don't have it yet. And sadly, it's the only one of its kind for mail. The last piece of my Transmog set hates me :(

Just got this in Dire Maul from Azzlin the Shapeshifter - a named Satyr in the Shrine of Ethrenar or something like that. Too bad I'm a warrior on the horde side, because this is obviously paladin gear.

Most of the paladins are either wearing green plate of the eagle or blue plate that is more properly warrior gear. This is finally some blue armor outside of the class sets for a paladin.

Just like lightforge, a warrior can WEAR it, but it's meant for a paladin.

Unless you have some warrior talent I dont know that gives you mana?

just for specific verification of where it is:

so you go into east instance where it has all the warpwood trees and such and you're on a ledge above a garden, you run counter-clockwise along the ledge enter then doorway at the end (where pusilin goes into) to where the satyrs occupy a big room, and then you goto the large south room and kill the guy there? is that correct?

(my group skipped that part cuz we went to the back tunnel and that took us out back into Feralas)

p.s. this is definitely pally armor, a warrior can wear it, but how mad would you be if a pally rolled and won any of the valor item sets?

This breastplate is better than lightforge. The stats are almost exactly the same, and the mana regen is very, very nice. Also, it's a LOT easier to get than the lightforge breastplate :)

but this piece is ridiculously good for a paladin built for a combination of healing and melee. I can regen faster than most 1h 60 paladins can damage me while dealing out a lot of damage with 240str and hammer of the titans + seal of command.

This is a nice plate to have for a Paladin, even if I had the LF chest already (which I don't, cuz Drak's a miserable bastard to me)... I'd keep this around for MC and such :).

I don't know, I definately think this has the potential to be better than the Lightforge Breastplate. It just depends on your build and other equipment, I suppose. I just hit level 60 today with my pally, and don't have close to all the gear I'm shooting for, but I picked this up shortly after I dinged, and now I have over 5,300 mana with +50 mana / 5 seconds when BoW's on. That's huge, in combat.

I don't think I'd wear the LF piece if I had it, right now.

I went with other people who wants to boss farm the end boss in DM East. After 4 tries, I got the bra plate (at least for the female Paladin).

For a paladin who plays to the best of his/her ability, this is better than Lightforge Breastplate. The best healing gear for a paladin (before higher level raids and without using non-plate) would be more like:

You may want to take out one and put in one piece of lightforge, which would give you the first bonus of +11 to healing. It might not be better than just keeping one of these though. The Archivist Cape would be tough due to it being random. You can sub in a hide of the wild if you can afford it. This equipment is more for a higher level instance, where all you'll do it heal or cleanse. You may want to run dire maul for all the priest gear if you'd like to do that.

Did 9 runs in a week hunting this thing, befor it dropped twice in 2 runs in a row last night. :) So happy.

IMO this beats LF breastplate by far, the mana regen more than makes up for the spirit and intel lost, and besides it looks fantastic. Especially on girls :)

You gotta love the veins in the tunnel right after Aldzzin too heh. Got 3 arcance crystals and 2 azeriothan diamonds of 5 veins in the last couple of runs. :D

I love DM east.

Yeh a pally with + 500 to healing ( which there are a few ) do like 800 flash of lights 1200-1300 flahs of light crits, 1.5 second cast, pwnage, specially with holy spec ( 5% holy spell crit)

Very silly looking armor. I would honestly be after this, if it it weren't for Gilded Crimson Chestplate.

The Gilded Crimson is a heck of a lot easier to get, gives a little more strength and intellect (I know it isn't much), you loose 50 HP and 1 Mp5 from the Energized, but the 42 Spellpower makes up for it in spades. Paladin spell coefficients are so nice, the extra damage is very much noticable. Plus, it's better than fretting while running DM-East over and over again.

Scored this on DM East run #6. More specifically, on my end Boss run #4 marathon. After getting that, my reason for farming DM East has lessoned. Now, for the rest of the item in DM.

This is a bit easier to acquire than Lightforge, and the bra plate is what I'm wearing.

Dropped yesterday for me. Forget the fact that the stats aren't that impressive for a warrior, this lovely item is bright pink. In fact so are the razor gauntlets (also of dubious worth).

best warrior armour ever wat are u talking about wat the heck does a warrior need intellect for, my advic e to warrior would be dont roll on that with a paladin who wants it or u will get blacklisted on the entire server

Yeah i got this chest peice not too long ago. On my female human paladin, it is a plate bra, quite literally. Along with my rockridge legggings or whatever from princess in Maraudon, my pally looks like she is wearing a plate bikini.

Did about 10 dm east runs to get this, but its worth the trouble (and easier to get than the lf chest).
Im very keen on mana regenerating gear and the rest of the stats are nice as well. besides that It looks cool.
10 runs might seem like a lot, but a run for wildshaper can be completed in 30 minutes by a 5 man party. It can even be done by 3 in a relative short time.

Enter via lower east gate at Dm, kill enough mobs so you can reach the edge of the balcony and jump down next to the gate. go through the gate and, from there sneak along the sides to hydrospawn and kill him. (he's not hard as long as you remember to keep your back against the wall). from there sneak along to the gate that leads to thornhoof (the one on the right side, after hyrdospawn). Kill a few demons on the way and battle Thornhoof (again an easy boss as long as you keep healing the people on the altar. palies can even DS to break the spell. After you kill him you'll hear the friendly tree in the gardens yell that he's freed. You can jump down from the right of Thornhoof's altar and sneak back to the gardens. From there let a stealthed player sneak past the patrols and speak to the tree so he opens the gates. The rest of the party can sneak along the wall to their right. Avoid the pats and kill the two plants that are in the way so you can reach the now broken gate. When you reach the round room with all the trees be sure to stay clear of them, because they have big agrorange. To do this jump on the edge of the ramp and walk down. Kill the three groups of plants and get ready for the wildshaper. Wildshaper isnt hard as long as you remove his nasty draining poisons and keep the tank healthy. At 50% he summons a load of easy kill imps, which are fodder for aoe (if you do this with 3 the thornling seeds might come in handy now). After you kill the wildshaper, be sure to pick up the shards on the ground for a quest that will now be available in moonglade (talk to Rabine there). In the tunnel that appears during the fight 2-3 rich thorium veins are waiting to be mined and theres also the exit, so mages can easily reach north to complete their waterboy quest.
