Ok, I dont know how it is for Other Profs. but I was able to drop my armorsmithy spec and switch to weaponsmith/axesmith, so I would assume if you went to your gnome Eng specific trainer, that you could drop only the Gnome part of your eng for 150g and pick up Gob if you wanted it

Take away the Stun Resist chance, and this is useless.
Cogspinner Goggles of the Bandit.
The goggles have 2 less Stam
1 more Agility
Same Attack Power.

Also the Goggles are BoE, so you can give them to a level 60 account with a Heavy Knothide Patch. and put +10stam on the Goggles. Yet the Goblin-Helm is BoP so you can't give it to a level 60+. (speaking as someone in the 50-59 bracket.)

As a 70 Helm, if the cogspinner are just as good, Think about the epic goggles... (I've not compared the epic goggles to those though)

This is interesting, because even though its 350 eng needed, a level 50 could be wearing this.
So since a level 50 can in fact wear this helm, my protection paladin is going to have a major boost in stam and dodge. =D

Since blizzard changed the epic goggles to level 62 this helm is one of the best 59 twink helms out there. Slapped on an Orc warrior it is possible to get 40% stun resist from both talents and racials.

If you're planning to twink at the 59s and have a large budget I'd recommend getting this helm (apply the LWing +10 stam kit to it so that it adds 58 stam).

I'm 225 Engineering and have been debating for a while if I should go Goblin or Gnomish.. I think this settles it. :)

Only thing I don't get is why on a BoP item, it requires 375 engineering to make, and 350 to wear...

So.. the ingredients are not BoP. Imagine this on a lvl 19 twink! In theory it seems like it would work.
The question will ofcourse be if it is worth it.. as this is awesome for lvl 70 characters and will require TONS of tons of effort to get to a low lvl char :p

(I don't twink by the way, but just imagine :O)

since its BoP and u make it, no fcking point arguing on what class should wear it. though shammies are more of a melee class (talking 'bout enh shamans)then huntaz, so maybe this would benefit them more.

blizzard knows what they are doing, this is just as much a hunter item as it is a shaman item but i PERSONALLY think it would be more usful for a hunter

hey guys don't argue over who needs it most; whoever wants to spend their time getting their engineering up to 375 to make this deserves to wear it. :P

I just made this today (lv 70 d0rf hunter) and Im really happy to change this from my Stalker's Helm of Second Sight. My stamina wasnt too high, and now its quite much up thanks to the helm, the attackpower + agility is nice too. Only minus side is its looks, but Hide Helm ftw

Why ^&*!@ and moan about it being for Shamans or Hunters? Decent in PvP for it's great AP, AGI and STM, and the Stun resist can't hurt either.

The only thing I would cry about is that there's no good plate items in engineering.

Orc Warrior with 40% chance to resist stun while wearing all plate would have been perfectly balanced.

You gotta go goblin engineering, which you could tell by reading. That being said, the best place to find goblin schematics, would be the goblin engineering trainer in tanaris

It's a little misleading when thottbot doesn't mark it as a goblin eng item underneath the item.

Also, is there anything that is similar or either or gnomish? Thot is a little screwed up atm for the schematics and listing if they are drops or bought from certain npc's.

this is the best Arena headpiece in he game for hunters and shamans, the resist thing is awesome agains rogues and paladins and warlocks felguard. i specced 8/22/31 for arena and the entire thing is aewesome, i don't get the benifits of standing in the back shooting at something in a 2v2 like i did in AV and the first thing people do is run up to a hunter expecting them to be MM, so i win. =P

im making a 59 twink warrior and im gonna get it
i know its not for warriors but its got more armour than plate lvl 58 blues

its possible to get at 59 so i advice people to make 59 twinks and use it

but dont take the advice of the person that said to take goblin only. the leather goggles you get are really good i think theyre called Gnomish Battle Goggles with something around 100 AP and 28 crit rating.that are leather btw. if your a rogue you should go for gnomish .
and even though you can give the nigh invulneribility goggles to a goblin engineer theyre the ultimate arena item . period

WTF. I'm gnome. GG. This is a great survival helmet but I have no way to equip it and gnomes don't get ANYTHING to compare. I've heard they're going to look at Engineering though (finally) so maybe that BOP epic gun will be real for once.

Did Blizz forget about all the melee classes that take up engineering? Pallys, warriors, etc all get the shaft when they go enginnering because the items are ALL useless except for the bombs. THAT'S IT. Sure, you'll make a gun, maybe even some bullets but you'll just end up selling them to increase your skill and try to make some money. Where does that get you? A whole lot of time wasted and new recipes that cost more and are still just as useless. Come on, why bother having profession if you can't make good gear for yourself without it costing you an arm and a leg. This is just another example...this should be available at level 300 and cost a lot less.

Okay, so you have an Orc Hunter whom already has +15% to stun resists, if you put this helm on you got 25%. That's gotta be awesome when you match up against a Rogue.

Is this worth it to make? 80 Adamantite Bars, 12 Primal Fires and 12 Primal Earths... seems a bit pricy

So what are all the disorient effects in the game that this has a chance to prevent? I only know a few;

*Scattershot (hunter)
*Blind (rogue)
*Dragon's Breath (mage)

There is no real level requirement, but... you need to have Engineering at 375 to make it. So, you will have to be level 50 to get Grand Master Engineering and be able to raise your skill above 300.

Note: the item says 350 skill to use, but it is BoP and 375 to make. Hope you got a lot of money for AH.

goblin engineering is the only way to go - im making this for my lvl 57 survival hunter, also got 2x goblin rocket launcher (only counts as one for dps sadly) so the 3 together give me 30agi/138stam xD
plus 550armor and the rocket launcher - around 1k damage + 3sec stun every 2 mins xD

This is trained only to Goblin Engineers, so that should be obvious anyway

There's a gnomish counterpart, if you're a gnomish engineer, you should know

You learn it from the same person who teaches Goblin Engineering specific recipes, the one in Gadgetzan, this should be obvious

Yes, a lv 50 can wear them, IF you can power level engineering up to 375 skill (to create, since they're BoP)

The poster above who is going for this and has the 2x rocket launcher trinkets, good job to you, you know how to twink for leveling =P

I myself did a similar thing at lv 50 on my priest, with gnomish engineering, i went and managed to powerlevel my engineering up to 356, I got 2x gnomish poultrylizers (+45 stamina trinkets) and some blue goggles, I forgot what they were called, but it's a recipe you buy on the AH gave another 46 stamina and a lot of +dmg,.. I managed to use both the trinkets and head gear up until about lv 64 ish (trinkets replaced first, then headgear)

I'd say if you can afford to twink your lv 50 to get this, and especially the trinkets, GO FOR IT, I leveled from 50->60 without even realising it, and it lasted til the mid-60's,.. the trinkets I still use now at lv 70 for PVP since +45 stamina never goes un-noticed

If you can't understand the use of items like this, and you can't grasp certain things, don't even try, it's so frustrating seeing *!@#$%ed posts, just let it be if it's beyond you

an orc(15% stun resist) that is an arms warrior(15% resist talent) and decides to use this for pvp even tho its a mail item(10%stun resist).

Nice for enhance shammies and hunters. 10% extra stun resist... orcs would then be 25% resistant to stun effects. 1 in 4 chance of not being effected by a stunning ability.

There seems to be a error with Classic Wrath.

This item says 350 eng is required but when you try and make it it requires 375 eng.

if you are trying to twink a 59 like i did. I found that you are going to have to make to 375. i stopped making them at 369 when i was not leveling up after making 3.
