This item reeks of being named for a WoW Dev or friend of a WoW Dev. I came to wowhead to see if anyone had any inside info to offer but alas, there was nothing.

That being said, the item is a simple cane-style weapon with a burgundy red ruby gem at the tip. Very Transmog-worthy with the right clothing set imho.

Finally, the name "Calenda" reminded me of the high flying daredevil family the Flying Wallendas, was that just me?

I'm a 70 Hunter. My first character. My first decent weapon drop from a mob was a stave...so I stuck with staves. (If I had to do it over I would use a two handed axe....I just don't feel like leveling up weapon skill again)

Anyway, I have used the Calenda Fighting Stick of the Monkey for a long time now. Its good adds are 52 stamina and 34 agility. Most of my stuff is basic green....and as greens go, this is a very handy weapon. And as staves go, I actually think it is better, for my purposes, than the blues I see in the AH.

I'm one of the few hunters that uses a staff....and this is the one I use. With the +35 agi enchant augmentation, the adds are nice.
(If I have to melee I am often as good as gone anyway)
