The graphic for it is not as good as the Drillborer Disk. The swirl is not continual, you see it reset after all the blue and black is gone and only blue remains. A little disappointing and hopefully fixed at a later date.

Hands-down, the best non-epic healer shield. However, somewhat tricky, being a low-probability drop from a heroic end-boss from a large instance. At least it's a reasonably easy heroic. Just make sure you have tons of DPS on the final boss.

Some other reasonable choices:

Crystal Pulse Shield (drops in the auction house).
Spellbreaker's Buckler (Shadowmoon Valley quest chain)

I'm comparing this shield to good old crystal pulse https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=31292

This shield has:
+95 armor
+3 block
+12 stam
-8 intellect
+22 healing
-6 mp5

Decent, but the drop in intellect and mp5 bugs me and as a pally that extra stam isn't all that important, I have plenty already. Its kind of a tossup, but both are solid choices.

As a resto shaman, this shield goes into my max-healing outfit. I use wardrobe to switch into that set and pop my healing trinkets before casting Earth Shield and Health Stream. Otherwise I am using Crystal Pulse shield for the mp5

As a paladin I would take this shield over Crystal Pulse Shield since int and mp5 are pretty easy to get from other pieces and this has considerably more plus to healing however since this is so hard to get depending on how lucky you are you might just want to get https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=29267#sold-by since it only has 2 less plus to healing and if you have Holy Guidance (shame on you if you dont) they both round up to have 63 + to healing and you get more raw int from light-bearer's

Kk, enough with other shields that look like it.

How about an armor set that goes with it? I've been looking at the transmog sets and can't find anything that looks decent to go with it.. Anyone got any ideas?
