Instance drops are all well and good, but those people like myself, who can't seem to get the items I want to drop, and then seem to lose the roll even if I'm the only person rolling, this is a damn'd fine option for pre-raid gearing... And, in that situation, it is about the best attainable without instance grinding...

Got one today from a random mob at Utgarde Pinnacle heroic, and i actually won a roll, prefect timing for that. Sold it later for 900g, could get more i guess if i tried harder but to lazy for that :)

it is world drop. most of these drops in naxx.
saw on ah today for 1,1k price.
week ago it was around 2,4k.
dunno why they dropped so badly :D but its better in this way. cheaper is always good.
my opinion - best shield u can get pre-raids for shaman!

yep had this drop for me too in icecrown. Nice shield... looks to be more geared for Resto Shaman, as far as shamans go.

If you are a PVPer and you don't want to get any gear from instances (or badges), this is your only option for an epic caster shield.

Don't let wowhead's listed buyout price fool you! I got this item, and put it on my realm's AH at 850g buyout. If I had to guess, I could've gotten at least 1250g off that thing, probably upwards of 2000.
Should've checked thottbot first, they say it could go for over 1300.

Just had this drop off of trash mobs in Nexus heroic. It is a BoE and Auctioneer says it sells for over 800g on my server's AH. There was a pali and a warrior who rolled greed on it, which suprised me. After I won the greed roll, the DK in the group tried to buy it from me for 100g. lol. I'm a priest, btw. On my way to the AH.

I found this shield just last night at Utgarde keep in a random dungeon group.
I totally pressed "need" and was prepared to bolt from the dungeon since i thought the other players would completely spazz out on me for being a ninja (especially since i was a tank/dps paladin), but the other players didnt seem to care or was paying enough attention to notice so i got the shield and could keep tanking the random. =)

I normaly never "ninja" anything, but i´d been drinking beer and was doing my frost-run just that one dungeon that day and figured it was a good starting shield for my new restoration/elemental shaman alt. =)

But after reading a post here about the https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=40700 for only 35 heroism emblems i figure i´ll sell this shield at the AH and pocket the cash instead.

Does that make me a complete ass? ^^

I just got this drop from a non-elite elemental in Shalozar Basin. Up on the ridge, while trying to farm crystalized anything. Figured I'd say because the list of ppl up there doesn't include it. Anyone wanna maka an offer on it im on Magtheridon, name Taliø

Cool looking shield with nice animation that some people may want for 4.3 transmog. I believe the value is higher now, I sold one for 5k.

This is one great looking shield, there are effects that are like sparkles being pulled into the shield. I purchased one for 2k last night, and I LOVE it.
