First off, it's equal iLVL to all the Naxx10 stuff, save the drops from KT.

And no one will use it? What about those who don't want to raid or PvP or what about people's alts that they don't care about doing raids with?

Even then, I'm sure there's some of us who can only do Naxx10 right now but we have crap for luck on drops. The only weapon upgrade I've gotten recently was the Claymore of Ancient Power which is, as a Death Knight, only much good as my DPS weapon, and even then I'd still rather have a STR weapon. Assuming my horrible luck continues, having being able to get an epic-level iLVL 200 tanking weapon is a great boon to me.

Will everyone want one of these? No. For many it will be a downgrade, but I have no doubt it will be an upgrade for many.

This weapon's great if you have a toon who's just about to start raiding. Plus, it's basically a naxx ilevel epic for doing a few dailes.

This weapon needs a buff. The time taken to earn a titansteel destroyer by dailies is less. Which doesn't take into account that the TSD has been attainable since a week after release. (With money having been hoardable months in advance of the expansion.)

This weapon (and the other epic weapons currently for sale at the Argent Tournament) takes a total of 9 days to obtain, if you do all the dailies possible each day. If for some reason you are unable to complete the daily group quest (Threat from above), you will need a total of 11 days to obtain this or any of the other weapons.

First you need to obtain 15 x Aspirant's Seal, at a rate of 5 pr. day through dailies. (3 days spend)
Then you need 25 x Valiant's Seal, again at a rate of 5 pr. day through dailies. At the same day you obtain all the 15 x Aspirant's Seal, you can also get 5 x Valiant's Seal, since those quests will be unlocked right after. (7 days spend)
Last, you need the 25 x Champion's Seal to buy the weapon. On the same day you turn in the 25 x Valiant's Seal, you can get 15 x Champion's Seal through dailies and a quest leading to the unlock of the dailies, meaning you only need got 10 x Champion's Seal to go, which takes 2 more days to obtain through dailies (total 9 days spend)..

All in all an easy solo-epic to obtain imo.

I dont know why so many people are slamming this beautiful weapon. It will be the first thing im getting if not just for looks. Ive seen 15 200+dps 2h's drop on my dk (more if counting polearms that went to hunters right away), and lost rolls on all of them. This will be a welcome change of pace from the good old TSD, if not to have one with a tank runeforge, and the other with fallen crusader. Plus with the buff to haste for dk's, that haste rating isnt so wasted as it may seem.

It's a nice weapon, although i'm guessing most people at 80 now who are "pre raid" will already have the Titansteel Destroyer. I'll be looking to pick 1 up for my offhand (fury). It comes with +hit and +str which makes a nice difference to most of the two handers which come with AP now.

Shame about the looks really, i'm loving the direction of design in Wrath so far, moving away from the more Sci Fi look of TBC, shame they forgot that when designing this sword.

Noticed it doesn't say unique equipped in the tooltip.
Anyone know if you can dualwield this sword as Fury Warrior with Titans Grip?

i did test this out on my ret paladin then returned it back to the vendor. it did not seem to do the damage even sword of justice can do. pure crap, imo. no excuse for the low, low max damage range for an alleged epic.

I can't wait to pick this up for my Fury Warrior! Yes, that's right, my Warrior is still spec'd for Fury even after the nerfs.

It's a great looking weapon with good stats. Combined with the Human racials this (along with the crafted mace) will be great until you can pick up some weapons in 25-Nax.

Ok, using this new wowhead tool to compare weapons, it has the Claymore ranked higher than TSD, I understand that it is class specific, but I'm really having trouble figuring out what to use for my Ret pally. Claymore of Prophet? TSD? or the Sword of Justice (which I have) that everyone always seems to reference as a brilliant weapon?

Some educated advice please?

What are peeps whining about, its a free epic 2h weapon for a little effort, u can start the tournament at lvl 77, by the time im 80 (soz i dont play wow 8 hours a day) i have this beautifull weapon w8ing for me, and so i dont have to spend lots of money at an titansteel destroyer.... Wich money is better spend for epic flying, cant live without it.

Just because it's an epic Purple doesn't mean it's the best, folks, and it certainly wasn't designed to be. It's meant as a reward for doing dailies -- just as a Titansteel Destroyer can be looked at as a reward for doing regular dailies and saving gold to buy it, or for saving all your Titansteel cooldowns for it.

It's a very neat weapon -- my Dranei Retardin is already holding a TSD, but I'd pick this up purely for the looks. Much cooler to walk around Dal with this, as opposed to having the same thing as everyone else. XD

TSD is much better for a Ret pally if you are hit capped. Plus you with the more Str you get more AP. Haste is not a really desirable stat to have since most abilities on pallys are instant. If you are doing heroics/raid your using SoM and not SoC even in PVP most pallys prefer SoM over SoC. This weapon is only for 2 types of ppl

1. people who dont wanna farm/buy mats for TSD

2. People who care what looks good for RP.

So in short if you playing the game to progress TSD > Claymore of Prophet

I picked this up for my Blood Death Knight over the Titansteel Destroyer because I needed the extra hit. I checked out the DPS on both of them afterward, by switching back and forth, and according to the game the actual DPS on the sword is a few points higher. Either way, I really needed the extra hit, and this baby does the job a little bit better. While it does sacrifice some Strength, it also hands out some more haste (oo, how useful) and of course as I said, a little bit more hit. Enough to boost me into the 9% area.

I should also mention that it looks totally awesome, and matches my characters feminine curves and pretty purple cloak.

Was carrying TSD and SoJ fury speced. Grabbed one of these and swapped with SoJ. and saw a nice 300 or so DPS increase. threw the SoJ back on and swapped this with the TSD and still saw a 220 or so DPS increase. This for me may be do to the sheer lack of hit my DPS set has since my fury spec has only come about since the dual talent's began. I am looking to grab a second one of these and see how the extra hit fairs out.

Ok got 2 and returned the 2nd one the little bit of hit this has over TSD is not enough to negate the stats that TSD has over this.

It was funny, I was using the titansteel destroyer and I thought that this looked good, so i went for it despite the reduced strength, both of them had +85 ap and with this sword i gained around 100DPS, knocking me over the 2k dps mark

This is an awesome retribution paladin dps weapon, I am using it and getting over 2200 dps with it, so for new 80s it easy to get and it gives you a respectable dps in raids
(with mongoose I use because it looks sick)

I'm a Death Knight. I got this pretty quick with little effort. Put an Executioner on it. Was testing it in Ebon Hold and I get whispered "Moron put Fallen Crusader on Claymore of Ancient Power." We had a duel, and I put him down quickly. Then, i saw him about a week later with this weapon, and Fallen Crusader on it. He whispered me "I put an Executioner on my Claymore of Ancient Power." We dueled again, and I must say, his Claymore of Ancient Power (executioner) looked nowhere near as good as my Claymore of the Prophet (executioner) but that's put of the point. Anyways we talked a bit and when he picked this up his DPS significantly increased.

To sum it up this is a very good looking weapon and has pretty good stats.

Compared to the Titansteel Destroyer, you get:

-23 Strength
-1 Stamina
+13 Hit Rating
+45 Haste Rating

It also has a faster swing speed, which coupled with the same effective DPS means that it has a lower top end damage. As an Unholy Death Knight, you care about Strength and Hit Rating out of these most of all, so if you're not currently at the Hit Rating Cap, and you're trying to get there, this might be a better choice, but since the difference is so small you probably should be able to make it up elsewhere through gems and enchants. Where this weapon falls down is the faster swing speed and less Strength, which means it'll result in lower overall DPS; the damage of your spells is determined by your attack power, which is derived from Strength alone, and the damage of your instant attacks is derived from attack power and weapon damage, which is also lower. Haste is a relatively weak stat for an Unholy DK.

I personally would say that the Titansteel Destroyer is the better choice; it's crafted, so in theory it's easier to get hold of, and then you can spend those seals on other things.

People are missing the point, these quests are available pre-80, so people like myself can save spending 1k+ on a TSD for when I'm 80 and do these dailies as a means of levelling up along with other quests in icecrown, what other zone gives you an epic for questing there?

Also, some people may not justify spending 1k gold on a TSD when they could win a roll on an epic in a raid the same day, get this and save your gold for epic flying imo.

This sword sucks ass. Why on earth the 3.3 attack speed Blizzard? This is like the ONLY buyable 2h weapon outside of arenas and it's useles for DK's. Frikkin Sword of Justice is 10x better. It's kinda unfair that the only way you can get decent weapons is to ether be l33t at arenas or raid your ass of where as you can get kick ass armor and trinkets for some measly badges. I don't got time to raid and i pretty much suck at PvP. Seriously, WTB Badge weapons -_-

This is such a beautiful weapon, and I'm such a Draenei nut that I was ecstatic when I got it.

Now a few days later I just got Edge of Ruin. T_T

I didn't want to replace it so soon.

I'm still keeping it, it's a beautiful weapon for my pretty set and I will be using it to do my dailies and such for awhile just so I can look at it.

I have had no luck getting a 2h sword from any heroics or high level normals, if it wasn't for this sword I would be completely screwed but I am now a few more days from getting all the seals to buy it, for those struggling to find a good dk tanking 2h weapon this looks like a good one to start with. Especially if you cannot get your hands on a battered hilt.

I'm sorry, but every time I see someone using this or Greatsword of the Sin'dorei (especially in a BG, which is accompanied by mediocre gear and skill) I have to laugh. There are much better options than this available - which are also easier to obtain.
