Best yellow gem for prot palies too. Arguably best gem regardless of color until block capped.

Indeed, until you have 102,4% CTC these are the best gems for a warrior/paladin.

Depending on the encounter of course, on heavy melee bosses, CTC wins by far.

Once you're decked out at 102,4% CTC (will be hard) you should see if you can raise your dodge/parry and lower your block while still maintaining the 102,4%. It will increase your damage mitigation but still maintain the stable damage income :D

All tanks have (should have) an avoidance set and a stamina set (stamina for magic damage, instead of +stamina trinkets, get resistance trinkets or on use trinkets, like the Tol Barad ones.)
Threat sets could be cool for some heroic spammage.

If you want to see your total CTC in-game, use this as a macro or just copy paste it into your chat:

That macro doesn't take the night elf racial for an extra chance to be missed into account.
