Hurricane has a bug atm. (I think) making it extremly great but the matts ain't cheap.

If you have 1 wep. enchanted with hurricane it would be enough because
it often procs with 2 hurricane buffs on you giving 2x 450 haste buffs.
It is ment to refresh the current hurricane buff on you but atm it just gives you another hurricane buff making
you gain 900 haste till the buffs last or get refreshed again.
I haven't tested it on 2 weapons since i still got blue normal dungeon daggers, cba.
so I have no idea if it can stack up more then twice with this "bug" but it definitely can stack atm.

(Edit: Tested it on 2 daggers and yeah you can get more then 2 buffs of Hurricane but like Quartolo said in his post,
it's harder and often the current buffs on you will refresh)

(Probably not a bug like Grote explained)

Ok, so today I got into my first heroic, and woot a nice fist dropped for my combat spec.

Got it, and called out my squeer, took off avalanche and hurricane on fist and dagger (dagger had hurricane since 1.40).
Progressing in the istance (which then failed), I noticed suddently to have 2 Hurricane buffs (w00t!). Went like WTF and then checked more accurately.

In the end, went to do some tests and experiments.

Hurricane does proc of dots and bleeds, also healing stuff so you get the example:

Bandages
Recuperate (ticks and CAST)
Homorrhages (bleed effect glyph)
Garrote ticks
Rupture ticks
Wound Poison
Deadly Poison ticks.
Auto Swings
Special damaging swings (Sinister Strike, Homorrhage, Evisc, Rupture "cast" etc).

Then went also to test how many can proc and if this is a bug or what. Cancelled Avalanche on the Fist weapon, and went for another Hurricane (gogo golds to the AH!).

Proccing more than 2 hurricanes seems hard. Sometimes the procs refreshes themselves, sometimes does not. Managed to get 3 stacks twice, with combat and hemo specs:

Ok how does it work? O_o Proc Chance? I didn't use any addon or wtf, just went for long tests on my own, using only 1 weapon + fist (proccing extra attacks via Main Gauche), with 2 weapons, or with fist + another weapon unenchanted.
Results were odd. Initially I thought that the buff had a 15 seconds cooldown, then noticed it could refresh within 1-2 seconds from the proc. So Inner CD idea removed. Thought that the buff could proc twice for a bug. Neither that.

I went to such conclusions (feel free to correct me):

Hurricane can proc with a 1PPM as any other similar enchant (berserking, mongoose, etc).
Hurricane can proc from BOTH hands, but seems to proc with a very odd PPM or % from the other hand.
Hurricane can proc from Main Hand twice, refreshing the single buff. Then Proc again from Off Hand and refresh that.

Strangely, I can add another thing. Hurricane seems to proc less often with dual enchant, althought being more "up" on the average single stack, compared to a single weapon. What I mean, is that for the proc rate it has, plus all my extra attacks from Off Hand (30%) it should proc more often while instead of leaving alot of dead blank times where I have 0 procs on me.
This althought could have been due to the fact I was using it only in the off hand, while having Avalanche on MAIN HAND (that could have led to extra procs from it, being somehow a spell).

Does this enchant proc for healers? The tool tip is rather vague on the subject.

In the past they were very clear to state "damaging spells" for procs and enchants (usually haste) on enchants or trinkets.

I found a differnet thing (probably a bug though): Sometimes I am mounted and this procs for no reason. I'll try and get a screenshot, but I am guessing this is a known bug. Unless it only happened to me so far o.o

It does not work for a hunter, i just tried it out and it will not proc when using a ranged weapon even if you are "casting" crobra shot and such.

so hunters out there dont bother wasting your money on this bad boy as it will not work for you...

This seems to proc from HoTs, from what I've seen. Was proccing from Holy Priest's Echo of Light effect, and Renew too.

i have a warrior fury specced and have hurricane on both of my weps and i already had 4 hurricane buff on me at one time...so this can proc more than 3 time. I think both weps can proc from 1 hit or 1 heal i really dont know but all i know is that i had 4 buff of hurricane on me at one time

Tested it on a training dummy just now, seems to have a 50-second ICD. It was reliably proccing every 50 seconds (never less than 50) with all my dots up and mindflay on a training dummy. So 12/50 uptime = 450*0.24 = 108 haste.

However, despite only being able to proc every 50 seconds on spellcasts, i managed to proc off a spellcast almost immediately after gaining hurricane from a melee hit, making me think it triggers differently for melee hits; possibly a different but identically-named buff.

I also managed to proc a melee hurricane shortly after a spell hurricane, but still couldn't get another spell hurricane until 50 seconds after the first.

In conclusion, it seems to be impossible to proc it more than once every fifty seconds with a spellcast, so tough luck for casters!

Edit: Had a friend test this with dual melee enchants. His mainhand and offhand buff constantly refreshed eachother, but he only ever got one extra one from spellcasts. What's likely happening is each enchant has two buffs, a melee one and a spell one. The melee one has no ICD and will constantly refresh, while the spell one has a ~50s ICD, however it's likely the ICD is shared between both spell procs, so both can't be active at once. That's still an amazing amount of haste, though.

Confirmed on my priest today, it DOES proc off of renew ticks. Going to do some testing and see what kind of uptime it has when raid healing. I'm not really good at that kind of testing, if anyone else has experience with it I would like to see their data.

Ok sure this enchant gives some great stacking buffs, but let's talk about more important stuff.
This enchant makes for some of the most badass looking weapons in WoW! :D
Absolutely the best enchant special effects that Blizz has come up with yet.

The magic of Hurricane lies in the positive feedback loop it creates - the more it procs the faster you attack, the faster you attack the more it procs. I would love to see an epic version of this enchant for 4.1 or even 4.2. Hurricane, imho, is just more fun than Landslide and I would rather pay a fortune for an upgraded version of Hurricane than for Landslide.

Hunters have no mana, therefore they don't "cast" anything, they use focus to use abilities, like a rouge. A rogue doesn't cast vanish, he uses vanish (and fails, but that's another story). Hunter's have item enhancements for ranged weapons, as pointed out in this thread, but our stat stick is just that, a stat stick...

does serpent sting or explosive shots work with this? has anyone tried? It only says when healing/dealing spell damage and nothing about casting the spells. Supposedly, those 2 attacks are spell damage (nature and fire). Can anyone confirm this?

Despite what it says in the tooltip, I've had it proc in some pretty weird situations. I've had it proc when I use Sap, when Recuperate ticks, and also had it proc today when I used the Enchanted Salve during one of the Firelands dailies. Anyone have any other strange situations where this procs when its probably not supposed to?

EDIT: Recuperate is a heal, so that isn't really that weird after all. It does say in the tooltip it affects heals. The salve is a heal too, I suppose.

But why did it proc on Sap, I wonder?

I can recommend this to any rogues who don't have the cash for landslide. The damage increase is not quite the same, but it's closer than most people realize. After a really quick test, it's looking like about 100dps per weapon upgrade to go from hurricane to landslide, not enough to justify the cash if you're not a bankroller.
