Very nicely itemized caster-dps staff. The hit comes in very handy in gearing up for raids, and haste is still more valuable than crit for many (most?) casters, fire mages being a notable exception. It also has a very cool innate glow. Posted a screenshot.

Just enchanted this with Hurricane. The hurricane enchantment visualization does not appear. The shadowy orbs that are standard to the item persist. I don't think I like that. Half the fun of the enchantment is the visual. The maelstrom crystals aren't available yet on Rexxar, so I haven't tried the Power Torrent enchantment. The issue is, this is one of the best itemized staves in the game, at the moment. Even higher ilvl staves are going to be passed up in favor of this because of the high hit demand placed on casters. 1700+ is hard to attain. Giving up the 202 will be hard now that I have it. I just also want the chant visualizations. Is that so hard?

It's a shame the ammount of hit there requiring for casters atm. Your going to see every caster running around dressed the same just to be able to reach that 17% for classes without any kind of talent to help boost hit you need over 1700 hit rating to achieve your hit cap this plus the 300 trinket and even the 200 sumtin trinket only puts you at 700 you still need anouther 1k and armor seems to be around 100-150 from what I've seen severly limiting what you can wear.

PvP Casters: Excluding perhaps fire mages, this is honestly your best weapon until you have the conq. points for your Vicious weapon. The hit will allow you to not worry as much about getting hit rating off pieces and collect your main pieces first, just keep in mind that when/if you get your vicious weapon, you will need to account for the -202 hit rating.

Especially if you're a warlock or Shadow Priest (such as myself), enchanting this baby with Hurricane will give you a very solid weapon even if you never get your Vicious this season.

Shadow priests can alternately go for Soul Releaser especially if you also have a healing offspec.
