I finished the quest and I still had this in my bags like a week later. Didn't see anything else that needed it, so I tossed it too. Missed the shammy, but it was close. Next time he won't be so lucky.

This item is the biggest kept secret of the horde. It's the only known way to kill a shaman, thank goodness alliance don't know this...oops.

It remains in your inventory even after you complete the quest chain. It is safe to destroy it AFTER you complete the chain however.

Jaron's Pick it's for a quest, "Troubled Spirits of Kel'Theril"

I know when you gather the fragments some spirits spawn. Does anyone know if those spawns are compatible with the Tier .5 upgrade quest? I think I'll test it out, it could be an easy way to conserve some goblin rocket fuel.

The pick seems to stay in your inventory after completing the quest.I deleted it.

Tossed it using my Off Hand and this time nailed the Shammy.
