Seems insanely bad for casters, unless fights are so short you never run out of mana in the first place (gnomer fights are long) you're way better off using a greater mana potion to restore 3 times the mana.

Everyone who reads these comments ignore comments from FlyngToaster and uses this potion with CDs on a boss. Potion is not just bring your mana back that is just a bonus, the real deal is that increasing your spell dmg by 35 for 20 sec is much worth than mana pot. So you pop it before pull , before entering in combat and use all cds u have of boss take to long to kill u will have it once more to use in fight.

This does not share a cooldown with any other potion in the game. That means that you can use this IN ADDITION to a normal mana potion, free action potion, etc. On Wowhead you can see that there is no tab for "Shared cooldown" like the other pots. I've also tested this in game and it does not put anything else on CD.

Keep in mind that you also get two bad side effects with the potion that the in game tooltip does not detail:

Double the damage taken by Physical, Nature, and Shadow
30% move speed slow
