Dropped from the first silithid I killed. Seems to be a good drop rate, the only reason it's so low is because yo uhave to kill alot more of these class mobs just to get the quest items.

I got this item, but it won't let me start any quest. It says it requires level 28 and I'm 34. I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem.

I think that theres a specific drone that drops the one that works check the link in the quest part.

I started and finished this quest as a lvl 34 Tauren Druid. Easy doing this quest, some running around. However on completion I kept the Cracked Silithid Carapace. As far as I know it is useless after completion so I destroyed it.

I just did the quest, no problems at all. I couldn't use either of the reward items, but I got 70s for selling the axe to the vendor.

i'm having the same problem as the first comment. i'm a lvl 31 rogue, and it says that i dnt meet the requirements or something. post back. thanks.

I'm a 35 Tauren Hunter and I think I'm having the same problem as others have reported here. I try to 'use' the item and it says that I don't have the requirements necessary for this quest. I assume this is the level requirement 'glitch' that has effected others. I'm going to ask a GM during my next logon about this and I'll post their response here. If anyone else has an idea how to fix this, plz post.

Get the first Quest at 68,64 and THEN use the Carapace.

Yes ive had that same problem as well but i just destroyed the item and got another and i was then able to start the quest

No alliance cant have the quest because u have to turn the quest into a guy in the cross raods and in the honor house at orgimmar

How do you know what the requirements are? I'm a 36 UM and it won't let me do it either.

it's a horde only quest, what I don't get is why it even drops for alliance. It's soulbound and a quest item so you can't sell on AH or to a vendor.

To do this quest, you need to have finished the previous part of the quest chain which starts with The Swarm Grows

so, once you've done this quest, do you still need the carapace? I've long since completed this, but I still have it in my bank... ?

Picked this up as a level 35 Orc hunter, but says I don't meet the requirements.. is it an Alliance quest?

You guys would have been a whole lot more helpful if you had posted what the quest is, how to do it since it says we dont meet the requirements. Being smart arses doesnt help and just makes you look like you think you so much better... when you arent.

Stays in your bag after completing the quest that it gives you Parts of the Swarm . Safe to delete once complete!
