Legendaries that were powerful in all situations were nerfed to avoid being the clear best choice.

Weaker legendaries like Prydaz, Magnum Opus di Xavaric and Segreto di Sephuz were buffed.

When Nighthold goes live, legendaries that drop will be ilvl 940 instead. This was mentioned in the 7.1.5 November Q&A. Legendaries will drop at a higher item level, or players can complete Il tocco del Titano to get the upgrade item Essenza Titanica Distillata to use on existing legendaries.

Patch 7.1.5 Legendary Item Overviewgear recommendations

Increase the amount of rating needed to obtain 1% of a secondary stat.

Increase the amount of stats on jewelry, with high item levels having more of an impact.

Increase all stats on gear, so player power does not feel nerfed. This shifts the source of player power from secondary stats to primary stats.

Critical Strike - 400 needed for 1%, up from 350

Haste - 375 needed for 1%, up from 325

Mastery - 400 needed for 1%, up from 350

Versatility - 475 needed for 1% damage and healing increase, up from 400. 950 needed for 1% damage and healing reduction, up from 800.

Secondary Stat Changes in Patch 7.1.5Nighthold Loot

Turn in 500 Order Resources for Sinossi sulla Ricerca dell'Artefatto. This will grant you one level of AK, up to AK 15.

Players with high Artifact Knowledge can purchase Compendiums and send them to an alt. This will automatically boost an alt's AK to a high level.
For example, a player at Artifact Knowledge 25 can buy a book to automatically boost an alt up to AK 20.

There are two more Obliterum levels; crafted gear can go up to ilvl 865.

Blacksmiths can collect new recipes for removed old-school weapons

Enchanters are getting cheap enchants that grant 200 of a secondary stat:

Rank 1 recipes can be purchased from a vendor in the Farondis Hub.

Rank 2 recipes are found on creatures in specific Broken Isles zones (except Suramar), as long as you know the rank 1 recipe.

Rank 3 recipes are found in emissary chests for those zones, at a 20% chance. The rank 3 recipe requires knowledge of the rank 1 or 2 recipe.

Applying Artifact Power to a weapon that is already at 54 traits does not store the AP; it is lost.

Classes

Death Knight Ghoul is not benefitting from mastery.

Ranks 4, 5, and 6 of some cooldown reduction Artifact Traits have been nerfed. Maestro Assassino (8/6/4 sec), Tiro Rapido (8/7/7 sec), Demoni Scatenati (15/15/10 sec)

Storm Earth and Fire clones walk instead of jumping to mobs or to you - they are slow.

Travel Form appeared to be nerfed to 80% of mount speed and a fix is on the way, this is not intended

PvP

PvP World Quests can now reward Contrassegno d'Onore.

Mists PvP gear can be purchased as an Ensemble for 12 Contrassegno d'Onore; previously players had to buy each item individually. Check out these sets in the modelviewer: Dreadful and Malevolent, Tyrannical, Grievous.

Items

Moneta Xuriosa appear to drop more frequently from Emissary caches.

Dalaran now sells the Dono dell'Animalista enchant. This drops Pet Charms and Treats.

Pandolce di Mana Evocato is from a Mage's Conjure Refreshment as well as the group refreshment table.

Many Nighthold items had changed secondary stats. While players couldn't acquire this gear yet, it was visible in the Dungeon Journal since Legion's launch.

Bonus Rolls can now reward the Artifact Power item Talisman of Victory. (Data added in Build 23038 Globalstrings).

We've seen related quests pop up for Cubo della Memoria during the 7.1.5 PTR (Enigma al cubo) - perhaps this mystery toy will be obtainable!
