I got pointed to it from Justine Demalier, First he said:

Justine Demalier says: That One, Malagan. I know him. Dependable, brave, abd trustworthy. Force is his name.

Then few min later (was stil standing there idling)

Merlis Malagan Says: Force, eh? Oy! Citizen Force, Come 'ere. Highlord Bolvar Fordragon has requested that all able bodied heroes o' the alliance meet with him at Stormwind Keep. You just been recruited, mate! Get a move on!

Then i got the quest from "Highlord Bolvar Fordragon" in SW Keep. Meby you need to get pointed to it from those 2 in stormwind :)

i can't talk to the highlord or the two guys you suggested. I'm lvl 60, and the quest is supposed to start at the highlord, right? what's wrong here?

Happened to me just now. Same thing with my friends saying it shows as completed for me, this happened in DM with the quest from the captain after killing king. This is inexcusable.

I also tried to get the quest from Highlord and failed.

I went to the next guy on the list, Mathias Shaw, and he did have 2nd or 3rd part of the quest all ready for me.

Here's what I think happened... As usual, not having any room for quests, I "cleaned out" quests that looked too easy or I didn't remember. So sometime ago, I must have started this and forgotten.

Give it a try... it might be the same for you.

Flint Shadowmore of SI:7 stands in front of the ruined cabin in Chillwind Point, the Western Plaguelands. He gives the quest "The Eastern Plagues," which is the continuation of the Blightcaller quest chain. If Highlord Bolvar or Mathias don't give any quests, perhaps you're on the Flint Shadowmore step.

I was in stormwind with my Lv.56 friend. I was stood by Melris Malagan (55,60)when suddenly i saw him say "Greymist (the Lv.56 character name), eh? Oy! Citizen Greymist, Come'ere. Highlord Bolvar Fordragon has requested that all able bodied heroses of the Alliance meet him at Stormwind Keep. You just been recruited, mate! Get a move on!"

Greymist did not even see this and i had to retype the speach out to him. He went to check it out and it started this quest.

Well, I think I actually got it a while back. Was on The First and the Last... oddly enougn, I stil got yelled at by those two people to go see him, and I alrady had the quest... It might also be automatically dropped in.

Another note is that that as 60, I didnt ever see them talk to me, but when I hit corporal, I saw it...

Kinda funny how I happened upon this, lvl 58 Rogue. I was randonly running around the merchant district and as always there are a bunch of npcs that talk. So I didn't pay any attention to it but I caught my name in the chat log and when I checked it that was the start for me.

So I went to the keep and got the quest to go to mathias who gave me the quest to WPL.

I'm level 57 and revered with Stormwind. I just logged back in and bam, they had their little conversation. Maybe you have to be revered?

my Question is simple : how do u do this Quest when ur horde:S seen many shamans with this shield and all they say when i Ask em "where did the Quest start"?

The last part of this quest is to kill a HORDE guy a horde person can not do this quest. Im sure they have a sperate quest to kill a different person im not sure nor do i care but you need to pay more attention :)

coords listed are correct.... two bodies found on top of rocks, the last one is just off the side of the road. good call here...

huh? when i was lvl 56 i just went to highlord bolvar dude and got the quest... it was grey when i was 50-55

You don't have to wait for them guards outside AH to call your name, at least not anymore. After reading this I waited there and they never said a word. Now you just go to the Highlord and he'll give you this quest.

It may be that you have to have completed the SEal of Wrynn quest as he says he will keep you in mind for other quests later...

I am reverred in SW and cant get that quest. There's no exclamation mark on highlord.

Yesterday I got it with level 57 and being honored in Stormwind. Then a friend tryed and had no luck with it.
We have done almost the same quests and he is level 58 and honored in SW. So I think its random, wether you get it or not.

I also thought that i wasnt able to get this quest.... but then i looked at my quest log and realized that i already had the quest called 'The First and the Last' i did not remember getting this quest so i felt really stupid. I asked my friend about it and he said he didnt know he had it because you can get it at 56 and you kinda forget you have the quest.... so just check and see if you already have it because anyone on alliance can get the quest.

I got it at 56, you need to get the recruiter guys outisde the SW auction house to call your name, they will direct you to talk with the highlord.

I was called out by the recruiter in SW & directed to go to the HighLord in SW Keep. Couldn't speak with him once I got there. GM said they've had trouble with this quest & to keep trying. Called 2 more times by recruiter when coming through SW & still unable to progress past that point.

Was using a levelling guide and it requested that I pick this up at level 56; the old boy had no quest to give until I hit 57. Reading previous comments, there were mixed views on when you can pick this up so thought I would add this for some clarification ;)

TBC Classic prepatch, it appears boosted characters are not able to receive this quest. I have this quest but boosted friend is not receiving it. She is Honored with Stormwind and level 60. The two requirements (56+) and (Honored) have been met. Perhaps due to boosted characters never having been level 56 where the first quest trigger is met besides being Honored. Unfortunately yet another one of the unintended consequences of adding something that was never included with vanilla or TBC original.

Update: Scanning the forums I see others are mentioning similar issues with The First and The Last.

Descrizione

Nathanos Marris was the first and last of the human ranger lords. A disciple of Sylvanas Windrunner, now the Banshee Queen of the Forsaken.

We had thought that Nathanos had been killed in action in the defense of Lordaeron five years ago. Although his corpse was never recovered, it was assumed that he did not make it out of the Eastern Plaguelands.

Mathias Shaw has been investigating the disappearance and may have some new information. Report to him at once. He resides in Old Town, at the Barracks.
