You have to kill 100 Crocolisks, the Basilisk's mortal enemy, within 1 hour and find a Basilisk. The Basilisk will be neutral to you and you can speak to it, kind of like getting the Chicken pet. He gives you a quest to kill even MORE Crocolisks. These Crocolisks now give you +5 rep. When you have enough, return to the Basilisk that gave you the quest, turn it in, and you will be Friendly. I'm half way to honoured. I'm not sure what rewards you get, but it's fun not to be attacked by Basilisks anymore, and they will help you kill Crocolisks.

You can really get reputation up with beasts? I googled around and couldn't find any other sources that mentioned gaining rep, but I think grinding to get rare items, etc from beast factions would definately be worth it. Can anyone verify characters can gain rep from beasts?

Ive overheard that basilisk faction has been lately entirely removed from the game cuz of many guys asking blizzard GMs stupid questions like: "how do i farm rep?" or "what are the rewards?".
P.S. PPl who made blizz's remove basiliscs are #$%^wits, my freind had lost a cute little basilisc pet which used to ROCK =(

I heard they are bringing the Basilisk faction back for BC! With revamped rewards.

I actually somehow managed it to kill 1 million crkolisks. This took me 4 months of grinding but I finally got exalted with teh wtfpwns Basilisks and the Basilisk boss named "Basilisk Chief Ruler" gave me a very fast Basilisk Mount.

I hate crocolisks, theyre so annoying. Do i just start killing 100 or do I need the quest before it counts.
