Extremly useful to a shammie, but for hunters, can be easily replace by the helm of exile which is a quest reward picked up from https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=1446 called "Jammal'an the Prophet". Of course these are also good for a pally when he needs to heal/pve. (The quest is also in ST and is finished by killing a boss that's earlier in the instance)

Very nice helm for all Paladins, Shamans and even Hunters.
If you play your hunter to the max you will agree that having a big mana pool is just as important as other things like attack power. Thats being said, an extra 405 Mana on one item in that level range is not something i would turn down, it is a very nice addition to your (probably) agility-based gear that you got apart from this.

This helm rules for shamans, since it gives a much better int boost hat the helm of exile, and shamans really don't have much use for the extra agi that the helm of exile offers. Especially in light of the fact that shamans can get a hefty agi bonus from their grace of air totems.

hunters can take it if there are no shamans or pallies, however if there is a shaman this is a no hunter roll.

Well in my opinion it is definately a shamy helm, especially for an elemental / restoration specced char! The +int gives us on the one hand a bigger mana pool and on the other hand the +crit we need to improve our dmg. Honestly without crits we aren`t a big challenge for other characters, especially for hunters^^. So don`t even think about rolling on this, if you aren`t a shamy! By the way it means enhancement, not enchantment^^! Furthermore, you have no idea how to play a shami. sry but 7/33/11? What a wasting. you can play if you want to go infight 0/30/21 or only pvp build 21/30/0! But that doesn`t matter here, the helmet is great and for all the other classes, roll on that yeah but plz never roll when you�re in grp with a shami. You would regret that:D

My shaman is quite happy with this helm replacing the Helm of the Exile, as mentioned earlier.

I'm glad I did that run with my guildies! No worries about ninjaing for me. *smiles happily*

Hunters are a CASTER class.

People act as if hunters are lucky to be in the party, and should only get things if no one else wants them.

I'm not saying this isn't a great shammy helm (Hell I passed it to my guildie's shammy last night) but don't say hunters need mana any less.

- When I'm DPSing you want me to have mana.

-When runners take off you want me to have enough mana to cast something to drop them in one shot.

- If my pet is OT you want me to have enough mana to keep him going while the healer worries about the rest of you.

- When I need to pull agg off of a healer, and my pet is indisposed, I need mana to agg pass back to the MT/OT.

I've been wearing this for several levels now. An interesting fact about it is:

ERANIKUS talks to you! He won't shut up! He whispers stuff in your head like, "You're one of the followers of the wicked god. I shall see you destroyed. I have failed to protect the temple. Set me free...Swamp of Sorrows."

Kind of reminds me of Steve the Slingshot from Dark Cloud if anyone has played it. But it can be quite etertaining to have a dragon talking to you while playing.

This is a great Shammy helm. Very useful for hunters as well (we are a caster class after all). I passed this helm to my group's Shammy on the first ST run, and got it on the second.

If you carry around full sets of alternate gear (And I do: Mana/Fire Resist/Agility+Stam) pick one up. If you have mix and match gear Helm of Exile is a better bet at this level.

dropped only once for me, and back then i had NONE of my elements, and i was with another shaman who had All of his elements except his helm, and had earthfury boots. he rolled against me on it, and won it, I was pretty pissed he couldnt hold off for Earthfury helm.... but whatever, to each his own

What looks? What are you guys smoking, thinking this "looks cool"? It's the usual, cook cutter helm. There is NOTHING unique about this stupid thing. It looks like grey crap with horns. Plus, any warrior that even THOUGHT about rolling on this is nuts :P There are plenty of other helms out there. If you want int to learn weapons etc., whatever, there are plenty of plate helms with int on them, and I'm sure you can get those just as easy.
