The entire set is kind of weak if you compare it to Transcendence (which is almost as easy to get now a days), as it should be.

Its nice to keep a 3pc bonus though for fights like Maexxna and Huhuran, which require quick flash heals.

Also it looks like the 5pc bonus was changed from 2% holy crit to 2% (28 spell crit rating) crit to all spells.

I've found that the best use for this set is in combination with transcendence. Three pieces to achieve the shortened flash heal, and the rest transcendence for the higher int and healing.

I have research the two sets "Vestments of Prophecy" and " Vestments of Transcendence" they are both very good sets, and without a doubt the transcendence set is better with stats, but the bonuses are not as good as Prophecy. so combining the sets you can acomplish the best stats from both worlds. -0.1 sec to casting time of your FH spell. and improves your chance to get a critical strike with holy spells by 2% then with transcendence set, allows 15% mana regen during casting. there are many ways to combine sets but i have found out that the best set would be this.

Halo of "Transcendence"
Leggings of "Transcendence" 3 Items
Robes of "Transcendence"

Boots of "Prophecy"
Girdle of "Prophecy"
Gloves of "Prophecy" 5 Items
Mantle of "Prophecy"
Vambraces of "Prophecy"

All of these items combined will give you all three of the good bonuses and still have the best armor and stats. The transcendence set clearly gives a lot more +healing to spells. But sacrafice the +75 to healing spells that you will be missing by using the "Prophecy" set instead of all of the "Transcendence" items. You recive 2% crit strike with holy spells. remeber that healing spells are all in the Holy class. This gives for more crits and much higher healing and will ultimatly be more +healing, and also will have more crit for your holy damage spells (smite,nova,holy fire)

This combination is most likely the best combination of the two sets having, 3 "Transcendence" and 5 "Prophecy"
and has the least sacrafices of stats and best benifits for bonuses

taken from above, the spirit for priests can be calculted as:
((Spirit/4)+13)mana/2sec
Now, for the 15% while casting talent that priests get:
(((Spirit/4)+13)*.15)mana/2sec while casting
if you want to see how this compares to mana/5sec:
2*2.5=5 so
((((Spirit/4)+13)*.15)*2.5)= X mana/5sec
simplify:
Spirit*.09375 + 4.875 = X mana/5sec

now just fill in a variable, say 50 mana/5sec:

spirit*.09375 + 4.875 = 50
spirit*.09375 = 45.125
spirit=481.3333 (blizzard rounds down so 481)

however, in this case, having 481 spirit would be better than having 50mana/5sec because once you are not casting for 5 seconds your regen rates shoot up.

which would be more difficult to get, 50mana/5sec or 481 spr? just stick for mana/5sec and think of the 15% spr counting while casting as an added bonus.

when i first read the -0.1 cast time to FH i almost died cause it was so cool -> FH = 1.4 sec!

then a guild priest told me that he also loved it until he realized the global cooldown which is 1.5 sec, so u cannot heal more in the same time your heals just hit 0.1 earlier...great

These pieces for each set are probably the fastest to attain and bring out their best set bonuses for its set.

Head:
Legs:
Wrist:

Set Bonus: 3. Allows 15% of your Mana regeneration to continue while casting.

Chest:
Hands:
Feet:

Set Bonus: 3. -0.1 sec to the casting time of your Flash Heal spell.

Neck:
Shoulders:

Set Bonus: 2. Increases healing done by spells and effects by up to 22.

it depends ric, as always in this game. i have been much more satisfied with 40people-raids than the other (lower) instances. i've done ubrs, strat and scholo hundreds of time, rarely devout dropped, and if it did, i lost it in roll. all i've managed to have are the boots, the shoulders and the leggings. i bought the belt in AH. the rest were magisters. this is ridiculous.
i've been raiding molten core for about a month now, that means 5/6 complete runs (2-3 nights evenings to complete a run). we are 7 priests in my raid community and ive been the last arrival. i already have the robes and the boots of prophecy :D almost every boss drops set pieces, so they are not so rare. and in a raid community you cannot lose stuff rolling dices and if something drops, you already know if you can take it or not. it's much easier. and prophecy rocks ;)

I had a holy priest before 1.10 and solo farming was hell. I couldn't stand doing it at all because it was so slow and if I didnt have some free mage water I would need to spend alot of money on water. Since 1.10 patch my new holy/dis spec can blow through mobs. I've done some essences farming in Silithus and I noticed that I was tearing thru mobs nearly as fast as the rogues and hunters around and my mana was regening so fast that I hardly even had to stop for drinks. Patch 1.10 has definitely made life alot better for holy/dis priests outside of raids and parties.

Also, for all you people complaining that healing is "incredibly boring," do yourself and everyone else a favor and roll a new class. (or go shadow but realize that there is only room for one or two spots max for you in a 40-man raid.)

The first page was full of boring people who only follow the FAQs and Walkthroughs and spam hate at anyone trying alternate approaches, but as this thread has gone on some people have been posting some interesting and insightful comments.

I am currently 30/21/0 (disc/holy/shadow) as i believe this build gives me the most flexibility between solo grinding and still main healing in raids.
No matter what build you go for, I believe 1.10 was a god-send to priests. Actually I've only glanced at the new shadow tree (I'm looking forward to a respec some time to have a play with it) but I know for sure that life has been made a lot easier for 'healer' oriented priests trying to do a bit of non-raid stuff in between MC and Ony.

I will always kinda be a shadow priest at heart though and it makes me sad that most people are so closed minded about shadowpriests in raids. I mean, fury warriors are no burdon as you only really need 2-3 fully specced tanks, and for the few times you need more, its ok for the rest to just change gear and off-tank.
You're not *forced* to be tank spec if you want to do end-game
Priests *are* (usuaully) forced to be heal spec
The same goes for paladins and several other classes, and i dont think that's fair either.
Every class has 3 trees. This allows for a great deal of variety, and along with differing equipment sets each class has a number of abilities they bring to the game.
Yes you will need some Prot Warriors
Yes you will need some Holy Priests
Yes you will need some Resto Druids
But NO, you *shouldn't* exclude everyone not of a particular cookie-cutter build

Some other random replies to previous posters:

To the guy above me: I prefer the disc +mana to the holy Spiritual Guidance for several reasons.
1. many spells you will need to cast in a raid gain no benefit from +healing
2. I've been getting lots of gear with +healing already, and lots of mana/5 too
3. mana/5 IMO is more beneficial than spirit for regen

When 1.10 first came out I tried a max spirit build but i found that it simply didn't add as much to my effectivness as I thought (for both regen and +healing). So I respecced a bit more Disc heavy than holy

To the guy with the shad-priest, mage, lock, moonkin and pally:
I agree with the guy after you who said replace the pally with another caster. The shad-priest's VE should give more than enough healing most of the time and you'd be better off having another caster gain the moonkin's aura

But I personally think a shadow priest would give the *most* benefit to a raid if you put him in a group with the rogues.
Most times your casters shouldnt be taking much damage anyway, whereas rogues are always taking splash damage from Giants stomping or swiping and whatever else. Rogues seem to be the main class that takes damage, besides warriors, obviously. Vampiric Embrace isnt strong enough to keep a main tank up, but it would sure help in a group of rogues all taking smaller amounts of damage.

To Everyone making claims of shadowpriests topping healer meters (with VE):
The short answer is... you aren't. Not really.
Unless you do like i said and make a group with a shadowpriest group healing a bunch of rogues or something similar, most of the healing recorded from yourVE will be over-healing. Think about it.
VE heals everyone in your party for the same amount, reguardless of whether they needed healing or not.
Don't get me wrong, its one of my favourite spells, but the Damage Meter result is misleading
