This is an awesome set, a major upgrade for us resto shamans for healing. The only other set I liked to use for healing was my Earthfury, and only took Ten Storms by default. My guild is progressing into Naxxramas more now, so my hopes of getting this set is closer :)

There are plenty of websites detailing what you need to do to get the quest and what you need to complete them. The set AMAZING though and any hybrid should be happy to never die again.

This armor set is a dream come true for any elemental shaman. No, it doesn't have +crit with spells or +damage to spells, but it does have more INT than you can shake a stick at, which scores crits and gives us more of a mana pool that we desprately need. Go, go 30/0/21!

OK many people think tier 3 raid sets are stupid cuz they only focus on certain abilities of each class,but they're wrong.That's the point!Although shaman can help with dps,tanking and healing his best use in raids is to heal so the earth shatterer is meant only for healing(every item gives mana regeneration,bonus at healing...)when you're going solo you need to have a fair share of every attribute so u can do a bit of everything(do dmg with weapons,spells,heal...)but in raids other classes do that shaman only heals!That's why this set is very usefull.When you're not in a raid use the ten storms like I do.And if you think your set sucks just look at the others,they also boost the primary aspect of each class,nothing else.Here's and example:warrior with his set is only good at tanking and staying alive,no good dps or anything else.So when you're doing large raids use tier 3 raid set no matter what class you play or what talents you have so you can be more usefull and when you solo use whatever you want.

You can't get any of these items directly from the bosses in Naxx (with the exception of the ring) -- you have to turn in a token plus additional materials to a quest NPC in Light's Hope Chapel to get your item. The token system is similar to that of AQ (20 and 40) and ZG, in that a particular token can be used by more than one class. In Naxx, the warlock tokens are shared with mages and priests. Warriors and rogues share another token class, while Pallies, Shamans, Druids, and Hunters share the third and final token class.

Each of the main bosses of a wing drops two tokens, while the other bosses drop one token. The armor slot a particular boss drops will always be the same. The lesser bosses in a particular wing will drop the same armor slot, with the exception of the Abomination wing which has 4 bosses instead of the usual 3. In the Abomination wing, the third boss (Gluth) will drop one token that any of the other lesser bosses can drop. Kel'Thuzad drops the ring to complete the set, and no turn-in is necessary.

The four "minor" pieces of the set all drop from the first two bosses of the wings, plus all four pieces have a chance to drop from Gluth:

Waist: Plague Wing (Noth, Heingan) or Gluth
Shoulder: Abomination Wing (Patchwerk, Grobbulus, Gluth)
Wrist: Spider Wing (Anub'rekhan, Faerlina) or Gluth
Feet: Deathknight Wing (Razuvious, Gothik) or Gluth

The four "major" pieces of the set all drop from the main boss of a wing. Each of these bosses will drop 2 tokens:
Head: Thaddius (Abomination Wing)
Chest: The Four Horsemen (Deathknight Wing)
Leg: Loatheb (Plague Wing)
Hand: Maexxna (Spider Wing)

The materials needed in addition to the token vary by class and armor slot. Each set item requires a certain amount of "wartorn <armor class> scraps" (e.g. cloth wearers need "wartorn cloth scraps") which drop off of the trash mobs in Naxx. The amount required for each armor slot:

Head: 15
Shoulder: 12
Chest: 25
Wrist: 6
Hand: 8
Waist: 8
Leg: 20
Feet: 12

For a total of 106 for the entire set.

In addition to the token and scraps requirement, the hand-ins will also require quantities of two of the following five items:
Mooncloth
Cured Rugged Leather
Arcanite Bar
Nexus Crystal
Arcane Crystal

The Shaman set for Naxx- Like the paladin set- is all healbot stuff. Why? Because that's all they do in raids.

HOWEVER!

Depending on your faction, a demi-set will drop called "Grand Crusader" for alliance, and... uhh... Something else for horde for shamans. It has non-healbot stats like damage and crit that are more useful out of raids.

for me, i like this set (not as much as ten storms) because ive been resto since i hit 60 for raids and such, and this gear is right up my ally

wow the only thing really disapointing about this set is that its only +healing, not damage and healing. basically turning shammies into a solid healing class.

I agree on most anything what has been said above. This set is solely good for resto shamans (and for looks, of course :P).

That is...if you are a healbot. ;)

But many shamans are (as said above) a bit of everything and not only want to do PVE but also PVP. Good for them.

Elemental & Enhancement Shammys who like to kick Alliance a$$es should rather go with "Warlord's Earthshaker" (epic PVP set, but even the "Champion's Stormcaller" is nice already) as well as the High Warlord weapons/shield. Because it has something for every class...+ damage & healing, crit, spell crit, yeah even a little agility is spammed in for even more armor & crits :D

Because...even if it doesn't seem much...you will notice the difference a few + items can make. ^^

And of course the PVP sets look sweet as well.

Some people may say that it doesn't do much good compared to the Raid sets...wrong. I was in PVP recently and Alliance has a fully equipped Grandmarshal (warrior)...the damage is unbelievable...8 out of 10 hits are crits from him and he easily 3-hit-kills everyone. :/

I also think that shamans are the most underestimated...by Blizzard traitored & by guilds not accepted class, unless they are healbots.

Yeah, we can "only" wear mail...I regret that...but why should rogues be up front in LEATHER clothes and dps....I mean...they could die easier and if they not die they vanish. :P
Do they put fire resistance, strength of earth or windfury totems for the warriors who would be so happy to have them?... no...and with shamans as healbots (and thus having to stay back from the action together with priests & druids) the only useful totem would be mana spring/mana tide totem.

But yeah, let the warriors on the front burn. ^^ Your decision. :P

Another thing I really do regret is, that we were given no kind of taunt ability, so we have to attack one by one to get the mobs off the real healers. So while doing that (keep in mind I'm enhancement) I always watch the healer's health, heal them if necessary, (over +100 healing to lesser healing wave, by the way, through different parts of gear and totem of sustaining) but also tank something and watch the health of the warriors/rogues/mages and spam heal if needed or if healers are for any reason silenced or whatever.

One set that every shaman should try to get (not for the looks, but very much for the resistance & spirit as the +crit, spell crit, + dmg & healing) is definately Tier 2, "The Ten Storms".

some may think that resistances don't matter. Bu they sure as hell do, in PVP equally as in PVE.

But everyone should see to him or her self and do what they do best.

I hope some day people will realize that we are (not necessarily) healbots. but well, if the warlock or priest should play off-tank while shamans stand back and heal...your fault. :P

Shamans must be support class for everything. If you need Spell dps support - shamans are here. If you need melee dps support - shamans are here. IF you need heal support - shamans are here.

So what is the situation with tier 3. Blizzard makes shamanas just healers. They are not support class any more. Just onother priest with totems.

IF you see the other support class - Druid. Tier 3 makes them onother priest. Its even worst because they dont have totems.

Why is that?

Im not sure why everyone is saying resto shamans
suck at pvp, what flag carrier doesnt like a nice heal? or a mage doing a AoE? Dont make statments like that. LEARN2PLAY your class and spec! :P

Why blizzard why? (/kneels over and cries). You've turned the 2 of the most hybrid classes ( druids and shamans ) in the game into BLOODY HEALBOTS (/bashes head into wall)

I mean WTF are elemental shamans ment to do with this? Before any of you open your mouth and fufill the anarchy blizzard is ensueng upon this class and others think about it shall we just go into Naxx and want to loot the quest items only to get pummeled into the ground by your fellow shamans about being elemental spec. Sure shamans will be healing but I mean how in the hell are shamans suppose to contribute to the DPS charts if they do almost no +dmg at all!

What about the poor enchantment shamans they're off even worse I think. But on the other hand this set is just absoulotely devilish for restoration shamans but WTF are the rest of them gonna do with this? I know lets plop it on and give it a chance. Shall we respec blizzard? hmmmm shall we? Lets all become healbots because blizzard doesnt want to give us a more varied T3 epuipment.... you'd think they could be even the tad more creative.

Druids, shamans let us gather round a join hands in prayer. Pray as you lay your weary head down in your bed that blizzard wakes up and realizes what they have done. They have put druids and shamans looking for there T3 EQ down the path of becoming a healbot ( /reaches for bible )They have in one fell swoop cut down those 2 classes perspective of being two of the most versitile classes in the game into just heal,heal,heal,heal cast chain lightning oooo look I did *insert 3digit number here* with earthshatterer on ( /runs and hides in embarassment )Something must have happened to blizzard that has narrowed down blizzards view of these classes so much that now they are becoming the new priests.

Well despite my ranting you dont even have to get it and that is what keeps me happy ( lol soory about length of post :P )

i think its funny that all the people who complain about this gear arent even lvl 60 yet...let me let you in on a little secret...if you wanna do endgame raids as a shaman YOU WILL BE HEALING!...if you ever get far enough into the game to actually get this loot then you will have been healing in raids for a long time and will be thankful that there is such efficeint gear out there...my hats off to blizz for trimming the fat on all the previous gear and getting rid of things like str, and plus dmg (things that an endgame shammy does not have any need for) and sticking with things that will actually help guilds progress further into the game..to all the people who post on this thread complaining...go get ur pvp gear and stfu.

Sure, in guild only raids/runs shamans do quite a bit of healing. Because in *some* fights priests will have to dispel magic, so they have to concentrate more on that.

But that are some fights. Other fights are all about the DPS. And please, if you allow warriors to be fury, then why do you think shamans shouldn't be elemental or enhancement as well?

Besides, imagine windfury or rockbiter in burning crusade when we can dual wield. :D

I have 4 gears to be honest, DPS, healing, Fire resistance and even +defense gear, since you never know when the warrior in a PuG fails.

I think the TRUE meaning of being a support class (like druids and paladins) is, to show other classes how to do their job. :P

Because how many warriors do you see with a shield? Huh? How many warriors actually care for +defense and plate armor?

Maaaaybe the 3 or 4 tank warriors in every big guild on your server. But that's about it. The others happily die holding a 2h weapon. :P

A friend warrior challenged me to a duel once, first he tried to beat me with an epic 2h axe... and failed. Next duel he tried dual wield---and failed. Third duel he used a shield, I still won, but the attempt with the shield was his best one.
(I was wearing AV shield and dagger at all of the 3 duels).

Also, you mention PVP. Fine. And that the flag carrier would like some heals. INDEED!

But who is most likely the flag carrier, and a lot of times successful capturer? Riiight, druids and shamans. So you might wanna throw them a heal once in awhile too, since you can't heal in cat or ghost wolf form.

Oh wait, a warrior flag carrier probably wrote that. well, then throw them one of your imba Heavy Runecloth Bandages, at least. What? You don't have First Aid 300. Too bad. :S

Rogues, warlocks and mages may stil out-DPS me, since I throw spam heals once in awhile what they don't. That's fine with me.

But if a warrior comes along who wants to tank dual wielding, and then does like NO DPS at all and using no warrior abilities in like 3 hours, and whose HP go down faster than a druid, shaman and priest TOGETHER can heal, then THAT WARRIOR fails at his spec.

Look all you ppl saying shamans end game are healers maybe ull give into peer pressure on that point but i wont i am a DW shaman DPS backup healer if needed but i am not a damn healbot and i never will be. with the patch shamans do not have to be healbots but can be anything again every grp and or raid needs DPS and shamans aided with spells and totems do far more DPS than rogues.

The point is: Why do you think the shamans T3 gear should be only for resto shamans while other classes can enjoy theyr T3 gear for other thinks ? Still it's about T3 it should be more usefull no matter what specialization you have. This makes most of the shamans to wear T1/T2 while fighting with other classes that can make better use of T3 set, is that fair ?

You could be right but this still sucks...oh well i guess it doesn't metter anymore since burning crusade brings 3 more item sets for each class, i hope they will be more usefull (both pvp and pve) than this one.

1 . This set , the paladin and the druid sets (T3 that is) are pure healing , because they were implanted in game with meaning for using the OLD talent trees , as you can all remember paladins , druids and shamans had to heal coz this was the best they can in raid with their old talents ( think about it then be angry about what i said ) .

2 . Blizzard do not think that those classes have ONLY to heal in raids in TBC and you can see this from our new sets at lv 70 which we will obtain (druids , shamans and paladins)

3 . This point is for the ppl that still think shamans paladins and druid have to heal only :
Guys ...... wake up ! Paladins can tank , shamans have friking awsome dps , druids can tank and do dps now !

4 . Of course there will be ppl who enjoy healing and there is nothing absolutely nothing bad in this , so Blizzard thought about them too by making sets for healing also .

5 . Most important is that this is past now :) look forward where everyone can be what spec they like in TBC raids/PvP .
