There is no Artisan quest. You get your 225+ skill increase from the Master Engineer in Gadgetzan, all you need is level 40, 225 skill and 5 gold to train.

Goblin Specialization quest requires 20 of these.

I like the Dynamite cause its cheap, and i use it all the time. But where is the Dense Dynamite at?

This now uses 2x Solid Blasting Powder and 3x Runecloth to make.

I don't know why, but it has something to do with The Big One bombs finally working properly.

3 runecloth is expensive

i got a recipe for EZ throw dynamite II today, its just like solid dynamite except
everyone can use it
it taks 1 solid blasting powder and 2 mageweave

if your going to use it for damage I recomend this over solid dynamite

I can't believe they changed to runecloth to make this item. Good thing I finished the quest that required ten of these to get my engineering skill past 225, otherwise i would still be stuck there becuase i have never even found a piece of Runecloth yet.

Who ever made this decision for the game is a moron.

I'm lvl 51, and i need these to make the big one, i get silk from almost all humanoinds at my lvl + mageweave ofcourse, not a single runecloth drop yet at lvl 51! maybe its a bug not sure though, but runecloth for lvl 175 schematic? wtf!

No hotfix this week to address this one. It'll probably seal my fate definately with gnomish eng.

To the previous poster - you can get plenty of runecloth at level 51. Just head out to Western Plaguelands and grind the undead out there. Around 1/5 drops the stuff, and usually in lots of 2-3.

Remeber to get your Argent Dawn Commission while you're there so you can be gaining faction with them while you work.

Solid stones are cheap in AH, silk a lot.
Good reason to be engineer
Carying always at leas 50 with me.

Not in oggrimmar there i can only learn mithril fragrenade at skill 215. Is solid dynamite a schematic you got to find or buy ?

If you don't care about incapacitate/stun effects and just want to do damage in a radius, Solid Dynamite is just about the best choice in terms of its cost to manufacture compared to the effect it produces.

Solid Dynamite requires Solid Stone and Silk Cloth. Solid Stone comes from mining veins of Mithril, which are plentiful and found in zones that are easy to reach. Furthermore, a single hit on a vein can produce as much as 3 Solid Stone; if you're lucky, you can walk away from a single vein with 12 Solid Stone. Silk is also easy to obtain; who doesn't spend some time farming in the Scarlet Monastery or helping lower-level friends elsewhere? On my server, Feathermoon, Solid Stone and Silk Cloth are very inexpensive at the Auction House so there's rarely a reason to hunt the stuff down yourself unless you have time to kill.

The damage is pretty decent, nothing to get too excited about at Level 60 but plenty to help a Tank get a group of creeps to stick to him against the threat generated by the healer or to let the enemy clustered around the flag know that maybe they shouldn't cluster so much. <smile>

And like all dynamite, it stacks in lots of 20 so a good batch of them won't absorb too much of your precious bag space.

The recipe for this is now 2 solid blasting powder and 3 RUNECLOTH. Bah, sooo expensive.

This is only taught by Artisan or Master Engineers, so you won't be able to train this in Undercity or Stormwind.
