This chain of quests gives you a ridiculous amount of xp. First, you have to kill some servants of grol, and the quest gives you about 3k xp (i did this quest at lvl 59). Then you have to fight the demons near the dark portal for a drop, and that gives you 3-4k xp. Then you have to go talk to the fallen hero of the horde which is right near swamp of sorrows and you get around 4k xp. Then the fallen hero of the horde tells you to talk to his friend which is a few steps away from you and you get 3-4k xp. Then he tells you to reach into a chest and get your prize and you get another 4k xp and this trinket

Not sure if this thing is really working because according to Cosmos, my health and mana regen havent changed. I've varified this without the cosmos tool as well. Any thoughts?

it says 'Increases your normal health and mana regeneration by 5.'. Is in combat 'normal'?

Put it more directly, does mana and health regen work during combat?

This trinket is not working as good as its description.
I have experimented it, and noticed that this trinket is actually making my regeneration inclreased about 2 per tick = 1 per sec.
It is effectively same amount as Spilit +10.

But it is working when you are casting too; it is ignoring 5 sec rule, and regenarate 2 mana each 2 sec.
I didn't experiment while in battle. It may or may not be working in battle.

It does not add an effect for whoever asked.

Is pretty much worthless as it only adds 2 extra point per tick for me as well... means my mana regen currently goes from 35pts per tick to 37... hardly worth it, if it was actually 5 more mana and health per tick it would be borderline useful for pve, but with Blessing of wisdom.... kind of dwarves the benefit.

That's what most trinkets time by. But if it doesn't regen HP during combat, bank/vendor.

It adds +5 health/mana per tick to your normal regen OUT of combat. It sucks and that's why it's a green.

It's not worth wasting a trinket slot with this item. Best thing to do is sell it to a vendor and use the money to put towards a +5 spirit enchant (or higher) on one of your items of armour.

Patch notes for 1.10 said we should notice an improvement to +mana/+health regen items, and that they should be working properly now

has anyone tested this trinket since patch 1.10?

Just got it and it still blows like it says. 2 mana per tick, about 1 health.

Does work while casting. I guess... yeah I'm selling it.

Also, servants of Razelikh are bugged in the "Stones That Bind Us" quest... the binding stones for the middle ones (directly north of the portal) don't work. All in all, waste of time :(

Yeah, I should have known with the item description being so vauge. If you're anywhere near the level you need to be to obtain this trinket, it's really worthless.

My TitanBar and Cosmos reports a random fluctuation every 10 seconds or so of 1 point between mana and health regen, probably because of this POS trinket.

Click on the "Use" above. It shows

Apply Aura: Mod Health Regen
Value: 5
Apply Aura: Mod Power Regen (Mana)
Value: 5

Click on "Apply Aura: Mod Power Regen (Mana)" and you will see all the other items that use this spell effect. For example, the first one (Amberseal Keeper) shows "Equip: Restores 12 mana per 5 sec.", and when you click on that, the spell effect does indeed read "Apply Aura: Mod Power Regen (Mana) Value: 12".

So yes, this item is indeed +5 mana/5sec and +5 health/5sec, in and out of combat.

Shame on those of you trying to use a mod to measure such a tiny number when there are so many factors that affect the measurement.

Has anyone tested yet?

I will later today. Going to remove all Mana/5sec armor, and start a fight and see. I'm sure at my level I should have vendored it, but I want to see how much Mana/5 I can get.

I can't stand the fact that I've been carrying this in my bank or bags for when I need to be on full heal duty, only to find out it STILL isn't working despite "fixes."

about that 2 mana regen per tick... u guys ever noticed that 1 tick is 2 sec? which means that in 5 sec u regen... OMG can it be? YES 5 MANA! even tho this trinket isnt the best, for a greenie its pretty nice, talking from priest perspective.

As a priest I am quite interested in having a high mana regeneration rate and have always used this trinket in instances because I have believed the regen to be 5 actual regen points.
But by doing some simple tests I recently discovered that it seems to be 5 spirit instead, which only means 1-2 actual mana regen points since 3 spirit equals 1 mana regen point.

Any thoughts on this? Because if this really is true, the trinket is sadly kinda crap compared to other priest-instance-trinkets =/

Like to slap this one on together with my Rune of Duty after a fight to reduce down time. Works best if you're badly hurt and your food/bandage won't fully heal you.

It has been changed in patch 1.11 so it now actually restores 5 health and 5 mana per 5 seconds.

As far as I understand this, this thing gives you +5HP regeneration and +5Mana regeneration. But only by the times you would regenerate HP/Mana normaly - not when in Combat/while casting.

How does it affect mages(regen. Mana while casting, but only 30% via magic armor-spell) or trolls(regen. HP during combat, but only 10% of normal)?

i might be wrong, but doesn't this just make you regen 5 mana and 5 health/5 sec? don't got this trinket so can't test it, but thats how i understand the tooltip

As a warlock, I thought "this sounds great" but testing it, I see that it is only 1 or 2 points faster. I have the regen meter and I could just watch the health and mana move. For a level 50 quest, getting a (about) +6 spirit trinket seems like a waste or it is broken. I hope it is just broken and that they can fix it.

All classes get a different regen from spirit, just like they get different amounts of MP from each point of int. Certain classes DO get 5 hp/mp per tick from 5 spirit.

Seems this item has been renamed in Classic, though not sure if with launch or afterward. It is now called the but aside from that it's effects are the same.

The NPC who gives this quest reward is the only one named Splithoof in any version of the game.
Which makes me wonder who are the "Splithooves" referenced by this item?
