For me the perfect use for this is as a feral druid. Most classes that would wield this in an off hand instead of a shield wouldn't want to be getting hit in combat inorder to get it to proc. However, as a feral druid, that 50ac in an off hand is awesome. In bear form that 50ac becomes 90 and I'm getting hit anyway ;)

I've been using this for like 20 levels now. I'm shadow priest, so this does a more damage if it strikes. Also, you got to love the 50 armor!

This item really just rox in bear form! 1% doesnt sound like much but it shoots a shadow bolt off quite often. The 50 armor is also always good to have...

you know whats really sad?

this is the BEST feral tanking offhand in the game.

im tanking in AQ40 where the feral tanking weapons are.

blizzard, in their infinite wisdom, made all the feral tanking weapons 1handed maces. so as a 60 in epic gear, i went back to duskwood to do this quest

P.S. i may be wrong, but i dont belive this thing can proc in bear form. can anyone conmirm?

i would KILL to have your quest rward from "save the princess" 150 armor ring unattainable by alliance, think again, unless you're getting epics from raids, better to be horde... :P

Is it my imagination Or does Blizzard just not think about Druids?
I mean, Look at the Armor sets? They try to mix and match the stats, Which is good if you are a druid that wants to switch around a ton....

But Alot of druids, walk around with 3 differant sets as it is, and ignore sets, Exspecially if you want to go Feral

Blizz should keep this in Mind, Off Hand Weapons That have a Random OF this or OF that effect, should have, Of Defence, Or of the Bear, Or something of that kind, for the druids who are unable to
a) duel wield
b) use a shield

Blizzard should really rethink What players might want

I stopped using my staff and equiped this totem with a nice enchanted dagger. Since Im in feral form most of the time anyway the 50 armor and the occasional extra damage it gives is worth it.

had this offhand item equipped until lvl 42 (im a feral bear druid ...at 43 i tried to get warden staff and switched my items ^^)

1% may not seem like much but hey 100+ damage sometimes can be a lifesaver and it helps a tanking druid to hold aggro in bear form ^^

especially in pvp combat this item soooo saved my butt a few times...it even killed a hunter that was low on health that tried to run from me, because he jumped fired a shot at me and this item procced and killed him XD

that was soo great ^^ (btw the proc looks like a shadowbolt so i guess the hunter was really irritated when he saw this one flying from a druid in travel form to kill him :D)

it procced pretty frequently for me like 1 time every other battle (more often when im lucky but usually 1 time every other fight ^^)

Is this really worth equipping? 1% seems pretty infrequent for 125 damage.

This is good for Druids. 50 AC becomes 90 in bear form from an offhand.

You can also get the Ghoul Fangs from the Raven Hill Cemetery. I did this part of the quest when I did Abercrombies "Ghoulish Effigies" Quest and collected the required Ghoul Ribs at the same time.
As for the Totem - will probably try to sell it in the AH, unless I get a decent 1-handed Mace.
True, 1% chance isn't much but it is a lot better than 0%.

i have it for about 5 lvl's now, and i've never had the damage bonus... :S but the armor is good for cloth wearers, especialy for mages!

think about it, the amount of times u get struck 1% can be pretty often especially in places like BG where u can get multiple strikes at a time. even 1% chance crit is huge

Way back in Vanilla on my mage, I was fighting this mob and I was OOM and both down to 1% health and the Totem of Infliction procced and shot out a shadow bolt and killed the mob.

anyone know the internal CD of this thing? if you fight a lot of mobs that do small amount of dmg
