Are they going to up the DR on this in 1.10? Since they aren't limiting the max number in ST i guess they won't.

It is hilarious that anyone is implying that people farm for this. It drops one in seven hundred times. You could get your complete tier 2 set in less time than it would take to get this on average. If you ever see it, tell your grandkids about it.

IF you are a mage or a lock and there is a preist in the group and you need roll this...you are a ^&*! period. This is clearly a priest item. Mages and Locks have no real need for spirit which is teh feture attribute on this item..(the priests most important attribute) so stop seeing a purple name and rolling need on it!

I have tried both ways, and Spirit and intell is the best way to go if you are partying. Intell stamina is best for pvp (and in that order that is the way it will always be. When i am going for instances spirit gives you over all more mana for casting than just buffing out intellect. If your primary stats are spirit followed closely by intellect that is probably the best combination i have found. Most casters who are not spirit users avage about 500 more mana than me but i regen over 2% of my mana per second and get 500 mana back in about 5 ticks easy.

If you are in pvp however you are much more likely to come under attack and there for need more stamina to take more hits. This is why the pvp sets for casters have intel and stamina as primary stats while the sets you find have a lot more spirit.

If your a mage you already have geat man regen abilities and therevfor might not rely on spirit and just drink conjured water like mad, but by doing this you cause your party more downtime in instances.

Priest item at the end of the day.

Warlocks don't, and should NOT need it. Mages really don't either with their numerous ways to get more mana back.

Druids, spirit regen sucks for you. Get mana per 5 instead of maxing out spirit. Aswell as don't roll on cloth if there's a cloth wearer in there. -_-

Dropped for my group while I was running a few random people through Temple. The 53 Mage in the group got it, since he was the only cloth wearer.
It's the second time I've seen it drop. The first time was when I was level 51 in a guild run in Temple. The 52 Warlock got it that time.
I'm pretty lucky being able to see it drop twice, but it is extremely rare. I've done Temple a million times and it's only dropped twice, heh.

if they need by all means need it.. just not if the priest needs it

You're on crack. +30 spirit would be awesome for a priest. My current vest gives +27 spr, but im looking for more. Casters are waaaaay too focused on intellect. Spirit is where it's at for a priest, I've tried both high intelect and high spirit gear and I find that I really like having mana, and with spirit gear i always have mana.

Could a druid roll for it if he/she wanted it?
I mean since we are like some of the main healers at the end, we should have an equal roll for any thing that can give us mana or the regeneration. Since leather usually gives agi or strength for all the rouges, and we cant use anything other than cloth and leather.

This is what I think about this whole thing....
I am not about to greed this item if it drops.
I would need roll, and pray to the wow gods that I get it.

I think this because I went through all the trouble to get the stupid egg of Hakkar, and not many people don't....

I honestly don't think you shouldn't be able to roll on anything he drops
Unless you have the egg or the scroll in your inventory.

You do the work, you get the rewards.

I honestly think that it is nice of people who complete the quest
to let others even greed roll on the items he drops.

I hate watching lazy players run away with all the glory.

First epic I saw in WoW. Sunken Temple run and I was only caster in group (priest lvl52 then). Unfortunately a shaman and two warriors in our group decided to ninja loot. So much for that robe... I lost the roll ;(

I was lucky enough to get a hold of this beautiful robe. From what I hear it is extremely rare to drop. Sure, you'll have a better chance to get it if you farm ST constantly, but I wouldn't count on it.

This piece of gear basically started my addiction to spirit. I look for anything to add to my spirit and am very near to my 400 point mark in the stat now. This on a troll puts me at over 110 per tick of mana regen.

Trust me, I understand how regeneration works very well by this point, and so long as you pay attention to when and what heals to drop and when to take a break, you should almost always have enough mana to get the job done.

Not to mention this is one of the finest looking chest pieces (esp. on a female troll, maybe I'm biased :D) and with it's very low drop rate, you won't see many characters running around with it on.

I'll post some screens later today. Good luck to any aspiring priests or casters on the hunt for this fantastic piece!

My computer crashed for the first time in 6 months right before we finished putting out the fourth torch thing... when i got back on I was dead and had released, and this had dropped, even though I was the only caster in the group I could not loot.. this sucks.

I'm a mage, and this dropped with no priest in the group on a guild run. Druid and I both wanted it, but druid let me take it, since it was really more for looks than anything else.

dude +17int isnt the best but, man, +30 spirit...talk about all the other mana regen and spirit you have and thats a kickass robe. a mage/priest/warlock=crap without mana. very nice robe

Mages and locks need to get in line behind priests for this robe. WAY behind. Other classes should just leave the room.

Spirit is a priest's most important attribute. Our dungeon sets give another 15% to mana regen IFSR.

i've been from here to thottbot several times and the stats are different in each so i was wondering...what's the right one? i myself am a mage and i love the stats on the one from thottbot, but i killed the avatar today and he dropped the staff, which a 60 mage with crappy gear looted.

Your a dumb ass if you think that spirit for priests is usless.... I am in an endgame guild where we farm MC and are currently downing neff every week. Spirit is a MUST for healers or you are SOL. If u have 9k mana who gives a &*!@...you will blow through that fast...its teh mana regain that counts.

This robe has the most spirit in the game but is much too difficult to loot. The droprate should really be increased.

A 0,12% droprate means that it takes 3'836 kills (and that's a boss at the end of an instance!) for the probability of looting the robe at least once to reach 99%.

I'm a warlock and have the robe. That said, our healer was a druid and another lock and I were the only cloth. Also, only a newb would go farm this for NR. If you're heading into AQ, you've been farming Nefarian. All tier 2 chests have 10 NR and 10 FR. We dont wear gimped resistence gear if at all possible.
