I got lucky and bought this sword for only 2g in AH, but i also bought a kobald Crusher (2H Mace 30dps) for 12g, and now i can't decide wich to use with my Pal lvl 28... I didn't mention that right now i am broke?
So my options are:
1- keep the two and make Green Iron Hauberk like crazy to make more money...
2 - keep one and sell the other...
3 - Sell both and become wealthy (and get the verigan fist from the Pal quest)

i am a rogue lvl 29 twink-this seems very good and i am thinkign about buying or farming this-i got meteor shard from SFK--what would you say would be the best combo of wpns for my lvl(dagger and/or sword only)?

got it off a LVL 20 Wolf in Duskwood sold it for 30G on AH was gone in 5 minutes

The price of it is mostly about 15-25 gold.
Way to much if a low lv that can use it want to buy it unless he has a good alt in that server =)

I'm not sure, but i believe this is what you would call a world drop. It drops of a large number of creatures spread around the world, at a low drop rate. I saw one drop off a young panther in STV. If you really want one though, i suggest you buy it, the chances of you getting one off a drop are very slim...

Killed a Cave Yeti cause it picked a fight with me yesterday and it droped. Put it on AH with start bid of 5 G, ended at 17 g 53s. :D

This sword's proc rate is ass.

I picked it up, added the Fiery Weapon enchant and went out to kill some clowns in Hillsbrad Fields.

According to the Recap Addon, from a sample of 450 landed hits:

Shadow Bolt procced 11 times (2.4%), avg 40 damage.
Fiery Weapon procced 78 times (17.3%), avg 39 damage.

Want the numbers a different way?
-- You gotta land 41 hits to get 1 proc. That takes 90 seconds of non-stop swinging with a 15% miss rate for one 40 damage proc. Fiery procs every 12.6 seconds given the same values.

-- This proc gives you an extra 0.51dps. +3 Strength would deliver more of increase in overall DPS. By comparison, Fiery Weapon gives you an extra 3.55dps.

It seems like a real waste of a blue weapon to rob it of decent strength or stamina stats for a pathetic 1 in 40 chance to plop out extra damage.

i got this one too, im level 32 dwarf paladin and its a great sword... normally you dont see the shadowbolts because when your standing so close as you normally do there is no chance you can see it from behind... but sometimes when humanoids flee, the distance gets increased and you can catch a glimt of the shadowbolt...

Bought mine at AH, Azdul Nerub for 7g... Not that much worth thu ! :)

Dropped off a tornfin at Southshore. Very rare I get blue items (well, duh!). Put it up for 3G at AH. Someone bought it outright for 7G within 1/2 an hour. Now I`m looking for another one. lol.

I`m assuming it fires shadowbolt similar to Ghoulfang Blade?

Last night this sword dropped off Athrikus Narassin <Cult of the Dark Strand> Athrikus Narassin , he's in the tower in Darkshore.

It sold at AH for 35g within just a few hours of listing it on Zul'jin.

why is it everytime a descent one handed sword comes up on a post, all the rogues automatically think they should be the first to get it? im a lock and i can out melee most rogues with ease. i picked this up on the ah for 50s and turned around and sold it for 20g. i have not been too impressed with it. i picked up another one but my basilisk blade is so much better.

Can anyone confirm the proc rate on this sword, or describe what it looks like when it does? I got this as a drop last night, and in 30 minutes to an hour of constant fighting never saw it proc once. Not sure if it's not doing it, or I'm just not seeing it.

Looted this from a chest from the trolls in Arathi. I saw a chest inside a hut and I thought, "Score! Maybe there's a green... or even better yet, a blue!" Then a troll runs at me and it drops some crappy green caster belt and I'm like, "G-d dang it..." Then I opened the chest... and peed my pants. 50G for me!

Hi i have this sword for my rogue with a fiery enchant on it, i use poisons quiet a lot so the chance of either fire, shadow or poison proccing is pretty high... However I don't know what to combine this with for an offhand. Im a combat sword rogue so... maybe zealot blade?

Everyone keeps saying they bougt it or sold it for like 4g and on my server the cheapest it is on the AH is like 15g and people charge up to 60G for the butcher, inflation is ridiculous.

I picked it up off Lord Lescovar (shhh ...) in Stormwind City doing The Attack!. Going to give to a guildmate ... unless hopefully nobody in the guild wants it then I can sell. I'm a 32 Priest, so not using it ... and not having used it I won't be able to help with the questions on how often it procs. It's not currently listed in the Auction Hall so I have no idea what it goes for on my server.

it looks like some poison cloud and a shadowish bolt flying towards the enemy. You should recognize it when happening.

Check the combat log though, it says enemy is afflicted by your shadow bolt, since your prolly not a warlock where you think is that bolt coming from :P

i just got mine today was grinding for lvl 30 just to reach 30 and what do you know i found it in the Raptor Ridgepoint today off a Elder Razormaw

im am very please with it looks good with +3 dmg

i got on my alt rogue with Fiery enchant and i off-hand a Zealot blade with Life Stealing and its good combo the proc rate on fiery and the sword proc alot and when they proc at same time its a hard combo to beat at the teir lvl.

Easily worth 1000g, some serious players will pay 1200g for this.
Easily one of the best items for twinks.
Consider urself really lucky if someone sold it for 10g or 2g...
Take no less than 200g.
