I found mine in a solid chest. Was pretty funny cause there were three allies around me, I killed 2, the other one tried to run, I looted the chest and killed the third :)

I have this item on my undead priest - bought it for 1g at AH. It looks like a glowing ice cream cone but with fiery swirls around it that float behind you when you run.....

I actually got one of these with my level 8 shaman as a reward for donating materials to the war effort.

It was for donating peacebloom I think. Good return on investment :)

I'm looking for this item, but if I can't find it or get an "Auction House Drop" -- 5g on my server -- I'll go for an even better item at level 33 -- Orb of the Forgotten Seer, which drops from Bloodmage Thalnos, in the Cemetary instance of the Scarlet Monastery.

This item grants +12 damage and healing -- better than the Orb of Mistmantle's +9 healing and +6 to Shadow Damage; +12 to both is nicer, but of course a higher level item. The Orb of the Forgotton Sear drops nearly 50% of the time, and is easier to get than the Orb of Mistmantle.

If you can get the Mistmantle early - great, it's very useful indeed. If not, don't worry... a few levels later (well, 10 ;) you get this one. Levelling as a Shadow Priest is definitely getting nicer in the 30's.
