this weapon only sells 'cos it looks cool and because it's a 2h sword. the stat is pretty useless most of the time. the speed is ok though for a 2h mc/crit build

Think Hunter epic quest...we need to kill 4xL60 elite Demons, solo, without a pet. This with a demonslaying enchant would help big time.

Ok before you pounce on me for saying "HUNTER LOOT" I need to point out that the hunter epic quest has you hunting down and killing four demons SOLO that are all very hard kills that you can't even use your pet on. Two of those demons are best handled by Kiting, the other two you melee with an occasional break away to hit with a sting. This swords +99 attack power to demons applies to both melee and ranged, making it increadibly useful for all four demons. Combined with +15 agility for the ones you want to take out from ranged, and the demonslaying enchant for the ones you deal with in melee (whatever stratagies you use) this blade will make life MUCH easier on the hunter.

That being said, obviously there are going to be others who want it also. Heck I'd be amazed if Blizzard didn't make an instance (raid or otherwise) where a big demon is the last boss.

Even after I eventualy get and complete my hunter epic quest I'll be leaving this thing in my bank for later use.

If so this bad boy acts as if it has 7 extra DPS, bringing it to 55 overall. (14 atk power = 1 DPS.) Not bad for a midlevel blue. Especially useful for hunters, who get that 7 tacked onto their ranged DPS as well, and can use it to help with Rhok'delar demons. A hunter can also get some benefit out of using this whilst farming an Eye of Shadow or fighting Kazzak.

A great weapon... against demons.

"Fact is, there are NO level +52 instances where demons exist (except if you're doing maraudon really late) and its simply too specialized to even bother paying gold for. So I vendored it."

Dire Maul has plenty of demons, and this wtfpwns in there with a demonslaying enchant. The enchant adds a chance for a few second stun and additional damage on top of the bonus the weapon gives.

If u want lvls fast?, if u can weild a 2h then this is the way to get lvl's. Get Demonslayer(2h sword) and get demonslayer on it. Use this pot and wame!, u will kill monsters in 3-4 hits. MEaning that they have almost no time to hurt you so no more eating

my grinding scale:
lvl 52 dps warrior, 2 hours of grinding, and about 25 pots later- lvl 56------ now thats sick........ average hit was 550-780(i also had plus 38 attack power)*** plus u get stuns too, meaning sometimes they dont even hit u cause there stunned!

Demonslaying
Use: Teaches you how to permanently enchant a weapon to have a chance of stunning and inflicting heavy damage on demons.

364-420 demon attack power- plus the weapon damge and any other attack power items--- thats sick

Note: I am now lvl 59 and still grind demons, it is expensive but saves you more time then ever- i am guessing it saved me 15-25 hours of playing

So I'm walking along the day after patch 2.0.1 and a Scarlet Spellbinder attacks me. The only thing I kill in the area and it drops this. Going to sell for a pretty penny on the AH.

Iv seen it on AH for bout 50G so i was pretty chuffed wen i snapped it up for only 10G, only bad thing is no stam stats. but i tink the dps makes up for it.

I was farming rep with the Timbermaw in Felwood and this dropped of one of those northern Deadwood guys. Quite a surprise.

Nice Weapon, Decent dps nice damage range and with the Demonslayer Enchant I just 'itch' to see a demon! Lemme at em! I use this weapon in zones where I might see a demon and it works ok even with the demonslayer enchant vs normal mobs just based on its normal damage. As a Pally zones heavily populated with demons and undead are a joy with this weapon.I will have to be in the 53+ dps range soon..but will probably keep it as a demonslayer for some time...

Demonslayer enchant does 90 to 100 damage and stuns the mob which coupled with the +99 attack boost means that damage output to the mob and reduction to yourself is affected. As a 57 Pally I am taking on 55+ demons and usually taking less than a total of 400 points of damage by the end of the fight v.s 55 to 58th level Demons.

There are certainly better weapons out there and if you can get em I say use em ), but this is quite nice vs demons esp for me as a pally with about 5k armor when in two handed mode with aura.

Last night I was going after my Epic horse in Scholomance and right at the beginning it dropped for me. I was not expecting this due to so many trips down there and when it did I was with guild and friends and won it . The sad news is I didn't get my Epic horse but I will soon.

Had one drop off a Scarlet punk in the WPL today (WOOT!) Had a buddy enchant it with the Crusader enchant. This is one Da** fine weapon, even for a hunter, and no ocping, the bonus is only melee combat.
This sword does seem to have a nice crit rate and also chance for the Holy Strength of the Crusader enchant, about 1 of 13 hits! Is NICE!

Shortly after posting this I got 5 crits in a row, each with a Holy Strength bonus attached! WooT!

Which would be better on this sword, Savagery or Demonslaying? Thinking Savagery might do two things:
1> Make it quite an effective all-purpose 2H weapon against all comers, AND
2> Make the wielder virtually invincible against demons, i.e. "overkill".

Totally Leaving out cost disparities between the two enchants, wouldn't Savagery be a better option than Demonslaying? Just sayin'.

UPDATE: Ok I put Savagery on this and though I love the result, I can't see that Savagery AP is stacking with the sword's demonslaying AP. While damage does go higher against demons, it doesn't seem to go up enough to suggest the effects are stacking. Having said that, I still love it. It cuts through demons like a hot knife through soft butter, and is also extremely effective against non-demons. It's faster than many 2H swords in its class, and appears to crit almost twice as often per combat engagement as comparable 2H wpns.

With 5/5 in Sword Specialization talent, I am using this sword since lvl 52 (now 55) with a +7 DMG Enchant. Does good DPS and obviously does the job against demons. Going to use it until I attain Doombringer or another 2h sword.

NOTE: It seems that the Iron Counterweight I HAD on it produced better DPS than the +7 DMG enchant so keep that as a cheaper option to an enchant.
