Good wand for its level in my opinion. I used it on my priest for a good 10-15 levels. I had it since 37 since my brother had found it when I was lvl 35 or so.

I just picked this up on WildHammer for 24g. A 2nd one was listed for 30g. Auctioneer stating 37g for WildHammer.

Found mine at Tanaris, hunting for these darn Waterbags.
Till then always used the gravestone scepter and were surprised as i saw a dps, that was more than 10 higher than my old one

Th way i got this was a miracle. My group was in Maraudon, we just came inside where the centaurs are, then me and a friend started clearing. My leader for some reason said he'd disband and regroup in a 5secs, We disbanded and in my window of 3 secs i killed a Nameless Prophet and this dropped, because my group disbanded i got the wand instantly and then we re-grouped. Wow... must hav been my lucky day.

everyones saying what it droped off of but not how much they love it, or think theres another wand better within the next few lvls.... now i actually have to go through the data base and look at all the wands for a good comparison.

I was looking for a rare mob in the hinterlands to try and get myself a gut ripper to sell. found a chest n there was this and another green in it. my priest just dinged 36 so it will be a nice treat for him at 37 :D

This wand really isn't that great. I mean, if you're a Mage there's certainly no reason to buy (Mages wand is almost just as good), and the damage isn't anything special. Anyways, these are going 35-45G on my server (4 of them, no one ever buys) and I think it's a rip. I'm only 47, but I'd much rather take an awesome looking (and damaging) Torch of Austen for only 20G (thats hot much its no there for) =]

I've seen this wand drop three times from the elite trolls just outside of Zul'Farrak in Tanaris. I've also seen it drop once from the same types of trolls just inside.

this is a very nice wand and seems to be a fairly common drop as far as blues are concerned. i was just looking at a mage who had it, then an hour later it drops. still debating weather i wana get rid of goblin firestarter or if i wana sell this wand for 45-50g

Got one off an Elder Coyote in the southwestern area of the Badlands. Took it to the AH, two others on sale fer 135g buyouts. Put mine up fer 130g, got a wsp within an hour of placing the auction with an offer of 120g (I took it).

Had NO idea it's 'worth' and didn't really think it would sell for that kinda price, but i'd just flipped lvl40 the day before so sellin this wand basically paid me back for my mount and training. Was REALLY surprised to see the prices mentioned here and the VAST difference from what i sold one for...but the gal i sold it too seemed happy as a bug to lay hands on one.

Leveling from 45 - 50 as a Frost Mage, would you rather have Jaina's Firestarter, or the Icefury Wand? Or, should I be looking for a completely different wand (currently at level 47).
