This is a brilliant Pre-MC tanking neck piece. The +def and +stam is great. You should be able to pick this up cheaply off the AH and is a must for any level 52-60 tank.

got mine off a a Carrion Devourer in EPL, the neutral ones. I was kinda ticked cuz an alliance kept killin me, so i killed the next thing i saw and bam, here it was.

I just picked up up at the IF AH on Doomhammer for 15g, it was bid only and the last 30 minutes of the auction. Probably stole it from some guy who thought he'd get it for 14g :] There were no others in the auction. Probably could've gone for much much more.

Defense increases your evade abilities. 10 defense means 0.4% more to each of your chance to block, dodge and parry.
Its also decreases the chance to receive critical melee damage.
+def is the stat to get for each tank specced pal/warrior.

Bought mine for 55g on Llane. Buyouts are usually 100+ and 150g isn't uncommon.

I got one of these in WPL, a random drop off some dude. It wasn't anything special to me so I put it at AH, starting bid at 5g with no BO. It sold for 47g...I can't believe people are paying that much for this thing!

It appears that the boot icon is actually a Thottbot bug. The correct icon for this necklace is the white 8-pointed star on a black background seen here:

The bugged version of this item can be seen at http://www.thotbott.com/?i=37544. It appears with a boot icon and in search results as item level 58, 417 armor, Plate Feet.

The icon (and stats when performing a search) was mistakenly swaped with Sapphiron's Scale Boots. Both of these items are BoE level 52-53 blue items that can drop from Onyxia, Ragnaros, Skarr in DM arena, and around the world.

I'm a 52 druid, feral spec, and this would be nice, especially since us druids have major issues finding defense. I think this will do for now though, hoping I can get it off AH cheap tonight.

I think it is, it has 1 stam more and 1% dodge it does miss some defence but I think the other stats compensate for that .

Found this on a non-elite in Silithus. Not sure how important +10 defense for feral druid but thought I would try it out rather than selling it on AH. I have +15 defense now using this and Naglering from BRD...

Medallion of Grand Marshal Morris is the best tanking necklace until you get stuff from zg/mc/aq20. For me that's impossible without a guild so I can't get better. Talisman of Protection is indeed better but not for people without a guild.

I'm currently playing a lvl 60 Prot Spec Tank.

I purchased this last night at ah for 5g or so and swapped it with a necklace that had a +10 Agility.

Although the +10 Defense is nice, my armor went down.

I'm a little confused on which is better for a tank: +10 Defense or +10 Agility.

Any advice is appreciated,
