This dagger combined with the mace was designed for rogues in mind. 10 sec stunlock combined with human race and mace spec, and in 1.9 the stunrate on maces is going up. Basically any rogue who uses the set in pvp will dominate just about any class. Constant poisons and stuns make this ideal for rogues and no one else, simple as that.

Hard to get the 2-piece set. Real hard.

I got this dagger from the rare spawn, and very nice it is too. In my main hand it proccs once or twice in every fight, and you really notice a difference in crowd control situations. In fact, it procc's so often, I usually don't bother with crippling poison anymore:)

However, you still have to be lucky enough to kill the rare guy, who I've only seen once in who knows how many runs, and have it drop, even if he is there (12% drop rate, or something).

The mace drops from Mother Smolderweb, who is always in the instance... but the droprate is INSANE, like 0.4%, or something.

You will have to be VERY dedicated and lucky to get the full set. Hope it drops for you guys:)

So far as I can tell, the entire point of this set is the set bonus. The damage of the dagger per hit is pretty low, making all instant attacks (backstab, ss, ambush) pretty weak. I still use it though, because locking down my opponent is so incredibly valuable. With crippling poison and this set, all those players that used to run from me now just die trying.

Dmg diff between this and Perditions

(atk/14)*1.7 = 1dmg
so Atkpower needed to gain 1dmg = 8,24

Fang of the Crystal Spider
45 - 84 Damage = average 65dmg

Perdition's Blade
73 - 137 Damage = average 105 dmg

diff = 40 dmg, or 330 atk power..

So, very very roughly, if i don't want to lose dmg, i have to get an extra 330 atk power...

This set is still fabulous though ^^

Im a rogue that doesn't have time for MC, BWL, AQ40, ect... I was mace spec and then this dagger dropped while I allready had the mace. My PvP effectiveness has skyrocketed ( this is the ultimate weapon set in Alterac ) and damage in instances as well. So for a player who doesn't have a lot of time this weapon is for you!

Where is this spider? I was at LBRS about 7 times and never eaven seen him.... Plz some1 say where he excatly spawns...

Ran LBRS and Mother Smolderweb dropped the Venomspitter, then the rare was there but it dropped those crappy druid gloves :(

well i have gone to lbrs 5man plenty seen crystal once no fang /cry i pvp alot and this combo is awesome for which ever area... the drop rate on the fang is rediculous and the mace was hard enough.. crystal fang is after the mother again rare spawn so dont go in expecting it.. but i recomend haven a rogue stealth to spot and scope it out befor going in if you want even to have a chance at the fang. a 60 rogue anyspec can get to spot without a problem im 14/37/0 and have no problems getting there :P its just getting the group at the time i play ... seen crystal fang a total of 1 time in say 12-13 runs ... she droped something i dont remember so not that good I JUST WANT THE FANG

shamans can use 2 handed weapons in fact ive seen them using corpsemakers and cobalt crushers dont talk about a class you dont know $%^& about

Druid named Lastavatar rolled a need on this dagger. Keep in mind I am 60, been looking for a new dagger (did brs ALL NIGHT) for a couple weeks at least, and I am still using Julie's Dagger.

I would have won the need roll, if the DRUID did not roll need. The raid proclaimed ninja, and booted him from the group. Personally, I agree, and so I put his name out there for people so see.

i find it absured that a rare spawn only drops this dagger 10% of time..i do regular stealth runs in LBRS,3 druids 2 rogues kinda combos,to bosses..usually making 5 runs per group and find the crystal spider there about 1/5 of the time at best..but then only a 10% chance to drop dagger :S..mean tbh...and to who said they had 2..erm..its unique..u cant dual wield it..anyway great pvp set..dont think id use it too much on pve tho..ill see when i get it,or shud i say IF i get it

Don't laugh. We were in LBRS and I was MA, the MT was using this. I gave him a hard time and he simply said - dont knock it until you try it. If it drops give it a shot.

ya ya - right. I left it at that but occasionally jibed him about it. We did notice the webs on those he was holding. And I know he has a bag full of weps to choose among...

Well it dropped. No one needed (mage,priest,lock,2warrs) so the MT said - take it. Ok ok ok - so instead of de'ing I took it.

Later leveled up daggers to 300 (started at 1 - never bother with daggers before). Leveled with speed runs (dual wield with a fast mace in main hand - cruel hand of timmy) in SFK farming assassin blade. I started getting impressed - thing procs like crazy. Had a couple of orbs in the bank so put crusader on it.

Did a DM east run the other night. This time I was MT, the other was MA, so the MA said - use it, give a real workout. So I main handed it with my shield.

All I can say - spiderwebs - all the time. Just about every guy I tanked was web'ed at least once during when I was holding him. Seemed to also generate quite a bit of aggro - couple of times I had to hold 2 and both were web'ed, and they never left me. Once one started to go after the healer, it proc'ed and - bang - right back on me. Sweet.

The web proc look really cool - a white web splashes on their chest. We checked the dmg meters after the run and overall the dmg taken by me was less than normal - so the proc made a diff.

Sure its base dmg is low, it is generally considered too fast for a good tank wep, but hey - it was hella fun and it is fine for a prot spec tank in blues doing the 5 mans. Crusader made up for that low dmg, and with that speed I got alot of hits in during that 15 secs.

For now, this is a keeper for me. Sure I'll get better tank weps later on but if you are not yet in epics, give it a shot. Of course, let the rogues need roll it, but if no one needs it, give a greed roll a shot and tank with it - I think you will have as much fun with it as I am. Gotta put crusader on it to really make it show it stuff.

I did a LBRS run with 7 ppl today, and the Fang of the Crystal Spider dropped. All passed and I needed.

After the 7man run, we did a 5man to do Warlord's Command. This time Venomspitter dropped. All passed again and I needed.

So, I got the set in 2 runs (was my 2nd and 3rd run total). I was happy, and the others in the grp was happy for me.

Looking at the description for the chance on hit, I was wondering if this procced off ranged and spell casts?

I got the dagger when I really needed it, but did not use it for very long. I finally got the mace a few weeks ago just because no one else in the group wanted it and I thought it would be fun to have the set. I dont use it though, it just sits in my bank. :( I may try it out while farming sometime just to see what happens.

Does not drop from spider boss...spider boss=Mother Smolderweb

This drops off a random super rare spawn (Crystal Fang) that is located on that ramp...only seen em one time in prob 20 clearings or more

Mace dropped for me during a stealth run, saving it, although I've never seen Crystal Fang, so I don't expect to ever get the set.

This is a pvp set, if you have it, no one will ever run from you again.

Got both pieces, and it procs all the time, like 2 or 3 times per mob; add the poison proc and the slowing debuff... ow.

Bosses don't seem to be affected, everything else gets webbed up.

This set would be sweet for rogues if only there wasn't a DOT from the Mace. I'm not usre if the immoblization is a sap or a stun, but if its a sap that would be stupid. Would be kind of useless to immoblize the mob and then have the DOT from the mace take it off 2sec later. Could somone please confirm the type of Immoblization? Thanks.

PS. I am a rogue so im not just trying to say this so rogues don't roll :P

Drop the dagger, and loot the mace in the same run ^^

I got mine (the one in the picture) by stealthing in with 2 Druids and 3 Rogues and killing her. It's tough, because she brings one Spire Spider and about 6 adds. And of course, more after the big ones are dead.

On my second LBRS five man run.

No rogues in the group and instead of letting it go to waste they said I should just take it for tanking. O.o

Still a good weapon none the less although it doesn't Proc often for me *Like two or three times in half an hour* Maybe I'm just unlucky... ah well, still fast and hits hard.

Wow.. I can't believe this, both dropped in the same run, but I didn't want the mace (other set piece) so it got d/e'ed... now I'm regretting it as I won the roll for the dagger peice : \
