I found this while i was looking for shirts in the AH. I did a search of Misc goods level 1-2, and it popped up. That's surprising because this item came up as a level 1 piece of gear, despite Thottbot's listing of it as level 58.

This item's effect, while not earth-shatteringly good, is still pretty spiffy for MC. The strangest thing about it though, is that it doesn't bind. I equipped it and never got a message to bind it to me.

I like this item just for the bizarreness of it. A level 58 item flagged as level 1 that doesn't bind was worth the few gold I paid for it. :)

I think this drops in UBRS, in The Rookery (with all the eggs). It's found from a 10' tall red, glowing monolith with the same name "Father Flame". You have to get by all the eggs (spawn lvl 57 dragon whelps) and two 58+ elites. You can probably stealth past most of them (once your raid gets that far in UBRS). The whelps from the eggs despawn afte a few minutes. You may need to distract of even blind one of the 58 elites to give enough time to open the monolith and grab the item.

While you're there, grab the darkstone tablet for the horde quest out of kargath :)

I do this all the time, its easy. As a 60 rogue just stealth past everybody and if any eggs pop just wait a minute and they die off. If you�re in the back you shouldn�t agro anything as you open up the FF. Then re-stealth to get past the eggs again and by that time the fighting will start.

While having killed Drakki once again, the raid dissolved with the usual ggs and cheers and thank you's.
I took the opportunity to do some random sneaking around while waiting for the teleport back to IF.
Walks out on a balcony and look down on the dragonkin and small dragons that we ran past. So, I see this burning pillar called father of flame that is surrounded by some mobs. But! I waited until there was some 20 secs left of the teleport timer, jumped from the balcony down behind the pillar. I wasnt aggroed, so, I looted the pillar, got this item, and was safely teleported home to IF with this semi-good thing :)

This is one of those items that used to be BoE and is now BoP. Hate when they do that.

This is good for starting off in MC, if you're a class that doesnt dual wield, and need the FR.

when equiped this doesnt Not have a model so you cant see it and it DEed into 2x

Its found in the rookery (cant spell) in UBRS

WARNING: if you do grab this, a mob of guards comes after you bringing maybe a dozen of them. If you wipe, they are still there in the room and will spot from the other end. Only 2 or 3 will come but they summon all the Whelps too so that you are fighting 30 or so! Getting beyond that room, from then on, means slowly wiping all of the remaining guards before the room is safe. It's a real challenge to do that too.

Since I was soloing, I fought them one at a time, died, repeat. That didn't work very well. Instead, I crept along the wall until i reached a ledge and jumped into Hall of Blackhand. I survived the fall. They still came after but left after 10 seconds. Why? Because I had jumped into LOWER BRS, not UPPER! Wrong dungeon. It all timed out before I could proceed. duh!

Morale of the story: do not grab Father Flame unless you are done with the instance.
