Requires 285 skill to pick (item level x 5). Plaguebloom sells decently; however, due to its abundance in EPL, WPL, and Felwood, is not the best. Its most notable uses are in the Elixir of the Mongoose, and Major Troll's Blood Potions, used by melee classes in high end content, and the Mageblood Potions used by caster classes in high end content.

The thing is orange for level 300 herbalist.

If low level want to acquire these, scholomance courtyard has one patch of them. or can you form a party of two level 40+. One of you will aggro and lure the monsters away on your mount (strip naked if you think you will be killed and on a mount for fast get away) while the other harvest the herb. These thing are worth the dying. Besides, the monsters will only hit for 200ish damage on 1.8k armour when it crits, so a few hits won't kill you.

This herb requires level 280 Herbalism to gather.

While it can be gathered in the Plaguelands, as one might suspect, it can also be found in Felwood in adequate quantities, along with Mountain Silversage and Grommsblood. As a rogue, I often hog tons of these for Mongoose Elixirs (+2% crit, 25agi), since almost 3% extra crit is a fairly large boost in damage.

You can absolutely never have too much Plaguebloom, as it's a required reagent for the best buff potions out there, and you should always put in the effort to gather it whenever available.
