That item only is a good reason to ditch a profession for alchemy. Incredibly good, specially for druid, paladin, shaman (hybrid) classes which use all the stats.

Absolutely! A Super Healing Potion would then restore 2100-3500 hp. This item is a must for people that consume lots of potions =)
It seems it also functions as a Philosopher's Stone as well, meaning you can perform Transmutations without the original stone used to make it =)

This item in its current form is so ridiculously overpowered that it is both silly and a must-have for all raiding healers.

A Super Mana Potion restores, on average, 2400 mana, on a cooldown of 2 minutes. This is an equivalent of 100 mana per 5 seconds (!!). Just by chain-drinking Super Mana Potions, you improve yourself by more than an entire tier of gear.

This trinket adds another 40 mana per 5 seconds. That is 140 mana per 5 seconds per Super Mana Potion.

So, when Blizzard designs a level 70 raid instance, they can either tune it for no consumables (and have every boss brute forced by completely buffed raids), or they can tune it for full consumables. Voila, there you go, another Naxxramas-like grind fest.

Items like this will either make raid instances too easy, or impossible without full consumable buffs.

The funny thing acutally is, that with my current spec I get a +20% healing bonus from all sources (pots, bandages, etc). And guess what, it stacks the +40% from this trinket :)

This means my "average" Super Healing Potion, will heal for about 3k2 :)

Will it be possible for a mage to go invisible, swap to this trinket, drink a pot, then swap to another trinket before the server decides to take you out of invis for drinking? (since apparently it's "hostile"...lol)

"Equip: Increases the effect that healing and mana potions have on the wearer by 40%." This also seems to affect Warlocks' Healthstones, and probably Mages' Mana Rubies aswell. My Master Healthstone normally heals for 2496 damage, but yesterday it critted and healed me for 6604 while I was wearing Alchemist's Stone.

This took two days of grinding for the primals and I already had the fel lotus from herbalism and most of the jewels from random drops. I needed to buy 4 gems and I had all the mats. The worst part of making this is the cooldown on the transmutes. Each diamond has a 48 hour cooldown and the Primal Mights have a 24 hour cooldown. It's hard to find alchemists who aren't on cooldown from a transmute of some kind. Fortunately I found a couple and I will make this later today after the server comes back up and I can transmute my last might!

I'm one happy druid...

With the latest patch they have "fixed" this item so that it will no longer work with healthstones, mana rubies and the like. It should now only work with potions.

"Alchemist's Stone" will no longer increase healing and mana gained from items which are not potions.

Anyone test this on a fel mana potion....that would be a guaranteed 4200 mana if it worked.

Also, you need an Alchemy Lab to create this.

Two can be found in Shattrah on the lower level of the tower where the Alchemy trainer is.

If you're an alchemist, I highly recommend getting this. With the stats on it and with the healing bonus, I always try to have this equipped during boss fights where some serious damage is dealt to ranged DPS (i.e. the Maiden of Virtue). Of course, having a stack of healing and/or mana potions on you is obvious at this point.

It's also nice so that now that you're carrying around this thing in your inventory instead of it being in your bank, doing transmutes for yourself or others becomes less of a hassle.

Completely worth the small amount of time and money spent getting this.

The profession patch notes for 2.1 have just been announced (in the profession forum. One point in the notes says:

The "Alchemist's Stone" bonus now works on potions that restore both health and mana.

So rejuvination potions are not affected now, but will be once 2.1 hits the live servers.

does the effect stack with the warlocks spell Fel Armor which grants them 20% healing effect?

my warlocks benefits 4000HP from using Superior Healing potion which only heals for 2800 maximum.

so if this stack with Fel Armoe I think i will be seeing 6000HP gain from using Healthstone or a pot?

I disagree. For the non-engineering tanking Warrior who is beyond 490 Def, this stone is extremely helpful just for stats. It is rated at 1322 Tank Points. The +15 Str, Agil, Stam gives 150 HPS, 30 Armor, 30 AP, .60% Crit, .55% dodge, and 1 block value. Add in the "OMG I have to drink a pot cause my healers are LOM", +40% health factor, its a win/win for tanking warriors.

If i have an Alchemyst's Stone made and later im gonna drop alchemy, then i'll be able to use this? I'll be able even to equip it? If the answer is yes, then the potion bonus still will work all after this? I hope anyone knows the answer...

Well it is true this item blow away some mana regen trinket...
But look it from diferent aspect,it also provide +15 all stats (thats not small deal)

and 15 spirit (+25% from living spirit talent) giefing some mana regen too

This trinket is absolutely awesome for raidhealers, who use mana-pot every 2 minutes. During Bossfights, this enlarges your manapool by a great amount. Go for it if you are a healer.

For my Paladin's spec this trinket essential equals the following:

Even without the actual equip this would still be a fantastic trinket. The Argussian Compass is the closest you can get to any other trinket with 75 stat points (79 for my paladin), and its use is a Power Word: Shield

With the Potion of Mastery and Blessing of Kings I am looking at 188 additional stats. In fact, it is like a second Blessing of Kings as it only gives me 121 additional stats.

I don't use pots to grind with, so I wouldn't be using the equip then but would benifit from the strength and agility... which I don't benefit from in instance groups as a main healer but on the other hand that is exactly when I do use potions.

Getting back a potential 4480 mana over 24 seconds from a Fel Mana Potion is the equivalent of sudenly gaining 896 mana/5. Not to mention using divine shield to wipe the debuff, I personally find this very sexy.

It is in the first PvP patch that it has been confirmed that the Alchemists' stone does not exist. Now when creating the Flask of Petrification you need only to have in your inventory the Philosophers' Stone and be at the Alchemy Lab in Scholomance.

Allright, there has been alot of speculation as to if this thing exists in the game today or if it was removed after beta. Well i emailed blizzard and they said that it is in the game. Just thought i would let everyone know because i know this was very unclear subject

This does consume your philosopher's stone when you create it, but it also seems to take the place of it. I just did a transmute without philosopher's stone in my bags, but I have Alchemist's Stone and was able to do the transmute. So no need to make a new philosopher's stone once you have this. Hooray.

Well, the stats are very nice (especially for a hybrid class), the healing bonus stacks with Fel Armour (tested by myself, dunno about other + x% healed effects)and it obviously serves as though having Philosopher's stone and it is something that all the alchemists there at least can proudly show as the proof (and benefit) of the mastery in their profession.
Moreover, the mats are not so hard to come by when you are an alchemist (and even easier when you are also a herbalist)

even if this item wasnt BoA it requires alchem 300 to equip. so unless u have alchem maxed this item wouldnt do anything. if u could buy it from vendor u still couldnt equip without skill 300 in alchem

I have this on my shammy, and I love it because I make use of all the stats while in dps gear, and I make use of the potion amplification effect while in heal gear.

However.. since the most recent patch (2.10 I think?) the +40% effect only works with healing and mana potions -- NOT healthstones, mana gems, etc...

As far as i know, and what blizzard has told med when i asked them, this item exists. And from reading these comments. It's probably a drop from molten core. Can anyone confirm that this item really exists ?

Hey ! I Heard that this is sold by the Alchemy Supplies Vendor in Gadgetzan... I've visited him MANY MANY times but never found the recipe. I wish there was some kind of direction from Blizzard for Alchemists to aquire this Item--- does anyone know anyone who has it?

its not the alchemist's stone recipe thats found in gadgetzan its the philosopher's stone recipe found there... though i do agree that there should be a hint or clue.. i mean its like playing full metal alchemist out there, going off a rumor to get something almost impossible...

The stone is made with 300 skill in Alchemy, and since it's bind on pick up, i assume that only alchemists can have it . . .

This recipe drops in MC and is an exceptionally rare drop. Only alchemists can use it as denoted by the binds on pickup. The item is used to create all the flasks from the 300 lvl recipes.

Yeah no one knows where this thing drops, and the dumb thing is its not a good tinket. Mabey if it was 50%. I think it should just reduce the cooldown timers for all pots by 50% when equiped, I mean come on gives Alchs SOMETHING good lol.
