It's not alliance only, there is at least one moonwell that horde can get to safely, its down in ashenvale not far from splintertree post. The recipe is vendor limited on one of the guys at Everlook in Winterspring (goblin town)

Mooncloth, the recipe, is in a goblin town (neutral for both sides) and has an unlimited supply. This is in Winterspring, an area with level 54-60 monsters.

Once you get the recipe, you have to find a moonwell to cast it in. The best place is in Ashenvale, where there are unguarded moonwells in a few places; just look around.

It takes about the same time to make mooncloth as any other tailoring thing at orange skill, but it takes 4 days (or 3 days and 23 hours, as the skill says) to make another one.

Anyone figured out who drops this yet, got my tailoring to 295 with a stack of 10 Felcloth and the convert Felcloth to Mooncloth recipe and Im ready for some 16 slot bags!

This is a random drop of high level mobs. Period. It requires 4xBolts of Runecloth 2xMooncloth 1xRune Thread

Mooncloth is received by combining 2 Felcloth in a Moonwell. You can only get 1 Mooncloth per 4 days. There is a 4 day cooldown.

Sometimes I feel it's just cheaper to sell the blasted moon cloth I make and buy the bags. I mean the bags I can get for 25 gold a piece and my mooncloth sells for 15 gold a piece. I might as well save five gold and various rune cloth and buy the bags..

bottomless bags arent really bottomless they are 18 slots and they take 12 moon cloth thats rediculis this bag isnt so bad when you think about that

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet so please no flaming if it's already been said...

There is a moonwell at the flight path in Silithus.

Neutral town with lots of high level guards so both Alliance and Horde can pretty safely use it without worry.

That's where I create all of my mooncloth.

I got mine for 8g

And being a lowbie i chose to use the one inside of Ashenvale (60,72) instead of corpse hopping to Silithus... it's a 3 minute walk after a 1 minute flight. 4 minutes every four days... no complaints.

A lot of people don't realize this, but there is a moonwell in Stormwind that can be used to create mooncloth - it's in the middle of The Park area across from the Mage District. There is also a druid trainer there, something a lot of high level druids don't realize either :-)

it's been saleing on our AH <7 gold and typically has competition for saleing this pattern. I think there's other ways to get pattern besides what mentioned above. Because I seen several of these on AH. It can't be <0.2% like it is stated above. The pattern itself is even green typically an uncommon.

I just bought this off the AH for 10g... only 10g! Anything with this low of a drop rate should have sold for more, but oh well... im the happy maker of 16-slot bags :)

Got it for 3g buyout, the bidding price was 1.5g, but the only other one on AH was 5g buyout, so I didn't feel like taking the chance. Either I've gotten lucky or they're cheap on my server.

The only advantage now in the BC to the mooncloth bags, is that they are transferable. Set your main up with the big BOU (bind on use) bags, and these can be passed around to your alts. These are still valuable.

Gave one away this morning to someone I met who didn't know it yet. Tried to sell at AH for as low as 1g for a couple weeks and gave up. Not sure why no one wanted it, even that cheap.

Because Netherweave Bags are easier to make, not many people use these anymore (except for the BOU example above, but the population who know about that is small, considering). Nbags sell on this server for 6-8g, where these Mbags go for 11-15g, no figure.

I farmed for these in Felwood killing Jadefire's for approx 45mins I managed to pick up only 1.

I will keep farming for these though.

I'm not sure why this recipe exists. It's a waste of mooncloth, which is exceedingly rare and valuable. Traveler's Backpacks are common and cheap on the AH. Don't waste your mooncloth on these.

This pattern is VERY profitable again in Classic. It is selling for 60 Gold and up in the AH - I just sold one for 64 gold.
