Hordies, this is vendortrash or pet food for hunters. The only recipe it's used for, Murloc Fin Soup, https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=3680 , is practically impossible to learn Hordeside (it's an Alliance-only quest reward).

This is probably worthless to horde:

My hunter's bear won't eat it... so it can't fit into the hunter food categories Bread, Cheese, Fish, Fruit, Fungus, or Meat.
The only other categories I know of are Raw Fish and Raw Meat, which are only found with BC pets such as the Dragonhawk or Serpent. Thus, it's possible (though unlikely) that one of them could eat it.

If you're farming these for cooking, Wetlands is obviously the best place.

Also, you can get Clam Meat at the same time. gl.
