It is in the west wing, on a bench between the bookshelves. I can't tell you how many times I prowled by in cat form and didn't see it. After killing the 2 MOBs there, it was nearly obvious.

Well i read the post above me and it worked, you just need to kill those two guards and the book will spawn on the bench

It's not there, it's to the west. That blocked road will lead to the new Blood Elf starting area.

Here's the actual contents of the registry. Some may find it interesting because it was written by Sylvannus back when she was an elf.

The elves respawn very quickly so it would be alot easier if two people did this together.

You can get the book from the other side of the wall. Don't have to go inside and kill.

Haha yeah u can get it through the wall i am Warlock and i scouted with my eye then i founded the book and i got it throug the wall ;) Nice secret/bug blizzard -.-

was just finishing this quest and i got an invite to MC, i stood, minimizing and maximizing thottbot and WOW for 5min trying to figure out why i couldn't pick it up when i figured out i was in a raid. Don't make the same mistake :P

getting this through the wall is so good...
just keep moving hand around until you see the gear gizmo... saved me heaps of time and repair cost

BSing thing, I died 3 times trying to get it as a 58 shaman. Then I got sick of it and tried something new. Died right by it, and when I got back up there, I ressed and put down a stoneclaw(taunting) totem real fast, picked up the book, and ran.

Should have done that from the start. -_-

right.. go up the path, not the road to kill all the elves that you need to, then just before the path ends and opens up into a flat area, go through three trees that are to your right, go up the small bank, then kill the two elves.

Once you have done this jump onto the ledge on the outside of the building, walk round the corner, then the registry is on the other side of the wall inbetween the second and third blue pillar that you see, try to find it by hovering your curser around, you will normally hover over the two guards first, the registry is abit lower than them, loot it, and your done. and dont worry... YOU WILL NOT PULL THE GUARDS when you loot the registry this way.

When you walk into the building...kill everyone to your right...

There should be 2 level 60 casters. Kill them both, after they respawn registry appears on bench. Kill again and grab registry.

Good to clear whole building as it's close quarters. Solo'd with 59 hunter.

i went ther with my lvl57 rogue and the registry was on the bench. sap ,blind ,get registry ,jump out and run :)

can you actually suicide it? Cause i'm having lots of trouble with adds seeing as i'm a 58 mage I don't have a thing for crowd controlling in solo like rogues do etc

i did it solo with a 57 rogue, :P just used distract on those two lvl 60's, sap one, and blind the other, got lucky i killed 1 ranger near them, and wait untill the guards patrolling go away, it's easu, figuret this out after died like 5 times :))

For those of you wanted to know exactly where:

As you walk into the lodge go to the right and the Quel'Thalas Registry is sitting on the bench behind the two Quel'Lithien Protectors.

Its on the right bench when you get past the two protectors.
