I could have probably used this to get the painting of love and family, to finish the quest easily without fighting except the scourge in front, can this be confirmed?

This is an item you get for a Horde quest. That is the only way to get it.

These are perfect for farming in tyrs hand, if you're about to die, pop an apple and all mobs will deaggro you, when you are out of apples just go to the guy and get 5 more.

wanna grief those allies? do it while they're farming/questing. this item will allow you to sit anywhere you like in tyr's hand and wait for victims to pass by. if someone's pet charges you, run to the closest scarlet crusader and watch the pwnage ensue. i actually regret completing this quest as i can no longer get the apple on this character.

each apple has 5 charges lasting 15 minutes each.

i think blizzard has nerfed this one, when you do the quest you get a discuise instead. not an apple.
I have no proof of this but since im on this quest and cant seem to get any apples :(

This item seems to give you friendly faction with all Scarlet Crusaders. After I got the 5 apple charges, I went to another section of EPL with Scarlet Crusaders and was completely friendly with them. Didn't go into Scarlet Strat next but a group of us who all have them will try it soon. Save these! May help sneak you past much of Scarlet Strat. Most likely Scarlet Monestary as well.

Didn't try using it within a major city. The city guards may not like you too well. However within Tyr's Hand in EPL and the rest of the zone they work completely.

u get this item from the quest fordor quest. u know how it has 5 charges, all u need is one for the quest. i wonder if u can disguise urself as a scarlet and then go in stratholme live or scarlet monastry :D

So I completed the quest that gives these apples, but I dropped the follow up quest called Return to Nathanos. I can no longer receive apples from Nathanos, so how do I pick up the follow up quest? Am I SOL?

Gathering herbs or trying to open a chest will take the disguise off, so be cautious if you do. You can ride on your mount while disguised though.
