They were "nerfed" because it was not the players farming them... it was goldsellers who were farming it 24/7. This was keeping people from doing the quests and pissing off a much larger number of people than those who would think about farming it.

I personally wish they had done this a while back when I did this quest. I spent about 40 minutes fighting for spawns with some dumbass goldseller when the drop rate on the quest item is actually pretty high.

This is a classic example of why they need to make it so if the creature is grey to you, it drops NOTHING on death(except a quest items). This would leave the items alone for people who are legit and keep the farming high level people out of the mix.

Maybe outside of instances only, but this still doesn't seem like an incredible idea. =/

I still sell mine for about 15s, but for my friend they are like 3s. I don't understand why that is.

Yep, seems people just can't leave stuff alone and have to push it, thereby screwing the rest of us.

Hell, all I wanted to do was finish a quest and kept getting running over by the 50+ crowd in pursuit of their greed.

They better not change it so that mobs that are grey drop nothing. I'm not working to 60 and then finding that 90% of the mobs drop nothing for me. If I decide I want some linen cloth, I had better be able to give the defias a shakedown and get it, and having earned my level 60, it better be safe and easy to do, even if I just want to grind up first aid. Otherwise what is the point of levelling.

As it is, as a Druid, to get any XP I have to die all the time. If I need trade items, I had better be able to go someplace where I can kill stuff and not die.

Also, FYI, changing the payout and not changing what it promises to pay, is fraud.

They already nerfed soothe animal which hurt druids, so I can't walk peacefully through the woods anymore. I have to fight wolves all the way. Thats not very druid like. Apparently they changed it because someone was using it in an instance to get to the boss. Hello? Why not change the instance so the boss calls everything to help him? In this case, they should have lowered the drop rate on the electro lanterns, is all, or left them alone. Its not as if the venture mining camp is safe, happy place.

I'm getting VERY disappointed by these changes Blizzard makes that are over-heavy and that are done without informing us properly or addressing the actual problem.

The level 50 people could kill tons of tigers now anyway and farm heavy leather. And why not? If they can kill stuff they earned the leather. And other drops they can sell to npcs. Other level 50s will still make more money in instances, so I dont get the objection.

Oh... and since someone decided people needed 100G to get a mount.. and 1000G at 60, I wonder why people need to farm money. Its not gold sellers, its people who, like me, made it to 45 and didnt have mount money. They have plenty of ways to track and stop gold sellers without spoiling the game's fun for the rest of us.

At launch, this was a fun game. If they keep changing things.. I dunno.

Anyway my experience at 35 as druid, was that if other players weren't there, I'd die a lot. Its ok for Pallys and Rogues etc that can blat things, but as a druid, getting an add when you're fighting two goblin surveyors, is death.

I wondered about this since they didn;t change the price listed before you actually sell it.

I get tired of seeing all these people get rich off something, then Blizzard does the kneejerk changes and the rest of us suffer, while the other are ALREADY rich.

They need to think these changes thru better and stop penalizing everyone for the actions of a few(Sooth animal anyone?)

I am sorry to see that it got nerfed however what makes it ok for a level 30 to kill and fram it and not a level 50 ? everyone in this game has the same right to collect money

I was playing just yesterday and they were still selling for the 15s price. Is this supposed to have happeneed across all servers already? I got them off the Venture Co. miners at the very north part of Stranglethorn, not from the goblins near the Crystalvein Mine.

yep got nerfed hardcore after it was being farmed by 50+ players all day.

No I'm sorry that is stupid. If that was the case then anyone who wanted to start a new trade would have to buy all of the items to do so. Example linen and wool...

Then everyone would complain that they can't find trade items on the AH.

I also love how eveyone that grinds something out is a goldseller. Maybe they were trying to make money for new armor or a new weapon.

On the other hand having a very valuable common drop is just plain stupid.
