A quick tip: You should have Essence of Akumai quest in your log to drop this one, don't turn Essence until u drop the note.

I farmed for this stupid note for 3 days on and off, before i realized that you HAVE to have the quest The Essence of Aku'Mai before it'll drop. I picked up that quest and got my note on the 2nd kill >:(

Farmed this in SoD.. Already had the Essence of Aku Mai quest turned in.. it took 12 mobs for this to drop

100% confirmed, you only need the quest "The Essence of Aku'Mai" in your log for this item to drop. You do NOT need to turn that quest in for the Damp Note to drop.

Season of discovery
I completed Essence of Akumai before farming damp note.
Killed a mob with 2 others, it dropped the note and they looted it and the mob had nothing for me. Killed 2 more mobs and it dropped for me. good luck

My Druid and War got it on their first kill my hunter took somewhere from 10-20 mobs i didn't really count. You do need to have The Essence of Aku'Mai for it to drop.

The quest The Essence of Aku'Mai is required to be completed and turned in before you can loot this item. I was on the quest as others mentioned and we killed over 30 priestess with my group and they all got a note except me.
