This wand is nice to have for the nature weak drakonids you'll encounter in BWL. Getting a group to quest for this wand may prove to be difficult.

You need about 10 - 15 people to take down blightcaller because he summons lots of skeletons that are immune to magic effects. This is the caster reward for the quest, which is a great pre-raiding wand.

This wands has one of the coolest graphics when shooting, a lightning bolt of blue lightning. The fight for Blightcaller, in Eastern Plaguelands, takes a little while to get down, but you should be able to take him down pretty easily with 14 other people.

I just got this wand tonight-- I love it! I don't think there's a better wand out there. Being Alliance I had to kill Nathanos Blightcaller. In an amazing showing of cooperation I was able to assemble a 17 man raiding party including people from all different guilds-- most who didn't even have the quest but just decided to help. It was awesome to have so many strangers step forward and it was a great battle to kill Nathanos.

The key to this wand really is the wand speed (and secondarily the buffs). The speed is quite fast for a wand, which is pretty nice in using it to "finish stuff off"...

This is the *FASTEST* high level wand in the game...and a quest item to boot!

for the alliance, this chain starts at bolvar fordragon in SW, where gives you a quest to talk to mathias shaw in SW, then he sends you to chillwind in WP, then you are given a quest to go to EP and find 3 missing SI:7 agents, who are nothing really but chunks of meat on the ground. you report back to chillwind camp, then are given the quest to wack Nathanos Blightcaller in EP. He needs a raid to deal with him, and 2 horde tried to jump us while we were doing it, but they got dealt with fast, and did not ruin our attempt.

you have to be 60 to even start this quest chain.

i think the chain starts at nathanos in EP for the horde.

fast wands are hawt for using on a mob that has been hit with pally wisdom, so you can regain mana faster.

u don't have to be lvl 60 to get this quest... just do the chain. and find a raid to help you.

this the quest that starts in SW after the NPC in Stormwind tells you you've been recruited?

I just remember one of the guards in the trade district of SW saying I had been recruited so I went and talked to fordragon, he game me a pretty quest line to do then I ended up with this quest. Organized the raid pretty easily, got 20 people within 15 mins and whooped Blightcaller and his hounds.
Then I got my wand. It is an awesome wand, but the nature damage is pretty poor against many mobs like the ones in AQ.
So I keep a spare one, a holy damage wand for the guy in the first post. There are holy damage wands out there. The wand of eternal light is what I use when mobs are immune, only because I can't seem to get a good fire/arcane damage wand to drop.

Hoarde has to kill that scarlet oracle chick (I forget her name) to get this wand. It can be done with a group of 5.
She has escorts. They respawn 2 for every 1 you kill. Dont kill them. Do this instead....
Ambush her on the road close to the town SW of lights hope. Have the tank pull the escorts into the town. You need a GOOD tank for this. The undead in the town will keep the escorts busy. Kill the oracle. Done.
As for the wand, It does good damage, is fast , and has good atts. Possibly the best nature wand in the game but dont get rid of your banshee finger and torch of austin just yet. Remember that there are things in the game that are immune to nature damage but I know of nothing that is immune to nature AND frost AND fire.
If you carry all 3 you will be able to "assessorize for any occasion" LOL !

Quick question:

Isnt this affected by the 1.5 second Global Cooldown?
Or is the "global cooldown" actually not "global" on Wands, and is just what the attack speed stated it is instead?

Are there faster ones? This is great for, among many things, the second boss fight in AQ20, where you restore mana by wanding one of the big dudes to death.

it says that the Average Damage: 81 , but actually, if you work out the average of 57-106, it comes up with 81.5, rounded UP at .5, as usual, would be 82, not 81. :)

If you're Alliance in a long boss fight, you may want to use this wand over some of the epic alternatives as it's one of the fastest wands available (it's the best 1.3 speed wands, I may be wrong but I believe the fastest epic is 1.5). A faster wand against a mob with Judgement of Wisdom means you can replenish your mana quickly. This is situational though, whether you really have any mana problems and the statistical loss of your epic wand is worth it for that fight.
