Drops from the first guard in DM north.

Needed to open the last door before getting to the king.

Door can also be opened by a seaforium blast (biggest one) or a rogue.

Dunno if a key made with BS works...

Earlier you could kill the guard with this key, exit the dungeon, reset it, and return with the key intact. That bug has been fixed. Now you need to:

1) Pickpocket the key
2) Lockpick the door
3) Blast it open with a Seaforium Charge
4) Unlock it with a Truesilver Skeleton Key

The skeleton key approach might take several tries, but the key won't be destroyed in a failed attempt.

I've got 300 LP and was able to pick this, so no sweat if you don't kill the guard, as long as you have a skilled rogue with you.

Or if you have one of us wonderful, brilliant Engineers with you who applies the Cee-Four-Ium charge to the door (the big one with 275 min. skill)

Truesilver Skeleton Key, level 200, just did it.

My group killed guard moldar for the key on the way, but then we died furthoer on in the instance. This made the key disapear so if you are gonna kill moldar then do it after you have cleared the path to the door!

My group cleared all the way to the locked door, realized we needed a key, naked wiped and zoned in, got teh key, ran all the way back to the last Guard. The Guard killed our key carrier due to him aggroing and we failed the run. ^&*! happens so be SURE your key carrier does not die.

I"m not sure what skill LP is required but i had 289 at the time and it was green lock to pick. So you dont need anywhere near 300 to pick this like you do the entrance doors.

We were just here tonight, doing a non-Tribute run, killed Mol'dar and nobody could get a key from him.

We thought they changed it to a random drop, so killed everything we hadn't done yet, still nothing.

2 Pallies, a Mage, Priest and Druid. Nobody with the ability to LP or carrying a Truesilver key. We were forced to call it a night because there was no way to get the stupid door open.

Went inside with 275 Lockpicking, the Inner Door was GREEN.

My guess is: Orange at 225, Yellow at 250, Green at 275.

This is for ONLY the Inner Door (Right before Kromcrush), NOT the Outside Instance door.

The Outside Instance door requires 300 Lockpicking.

I hearthed back to get some rune thread, and was summoned back, when I got back my key had dissapeared, noticed outside the door >.<

items like this are keyed to the instance, you leave and so do they...its not a bug, not a glitch, you need to STAY INSIDE

i dont get it, people want their tribute and to AVOID Killing the mini boss's, but how else are you suppose to get this key? and lets not forget, no inner door key-> no gordok-> no tribute, it also disappears when you leave instance, and if you have key and died, DO NOT RELEASE. my last run was screwed because I had key, and released spirit to run to zone in, this counted as leaving instance, and key poofed on us, group broke up because we could no longer get to gordok without complete reset of instance to get key again. i knew leaving instance would kill key, but not hitting release spirit butten... gg bliz thanks once again, most horrible key idea ive seen since eq.

Blacksmiths can also open that door with truesilver skelly key. I have had to once or twice.

Before 1.11, you could kill Mol'dar, loot the key, run out, reset, and do a full tribute run because the key would remain in your bags.

This has been made impossible, according to the patch notes:

The Gordok Inner Door Key will now be properly destroyed if you are ever outside the instance and alive.

So, to do a full tribute run, you are now FORCED to bring a player with one of the following skills:
- A rogue with (300?) lockpicking,
- An engineer with a Large Seaforium Charge and skill 200 or higher,
- A blacksmith with a Truesilver Skeleton Key and skill 200 or higher.
