ok i can see it's a drop but what is the quest about, more info would be appreciated.
Some dude wants to sell this to me for 100gold and i am not sure if is worth it.

I also looted one in Dire Maul last night, and am going to give it to my guild's warlock, but what does it do? anyone know?

maybe a quest for a new minion?

So, people are buying this for 100g when its like 50g buyout on the AH right now. well, i'm nto gonna buy it until someone did the quest and annouce what the rewards are if they happened to picked up this quest drop. because it looks its just some XP so far.....well, keep me update on this. Thank You

i'm a lvl 60 warlock... and i cant get the quest from the damn book! wtf? it says "you don't meet the requirements for that quest" >.<

The Trinket gives:

+10 Fire Resistance

Equip: Increase damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 23.

im a 60 lock as well and when i click the book it says i dont meet the specified requirements.

This quest can be done at 54 with the assistance from a person with the cresent key. I just baught the book on Spinebreaker and did it with a friend. You really dont need more then a Lesser Invisibility potion (But you can use a Invisibility potion if you would like to be safer). Since its such a short distance from the start of the instance past the first mob you only need one potion.

The thing you need to look out for is the Dog Patrol, they spot you very easy because of there high stealth detection, I had to die once to learn to watch closer.

When you go down the ramp to the left at the very beginning of the instance, try not to get to close to the mob at the bottom, jump off the side to get a little distance and then hug the corner of the next ramp down to the library door. Once you get into the library door you're in the clear. Enjoy you new Trinket when you finish that long run down the hall!

Hellfire to death outside the door to the north entrance (no durability loss), res inside the door, enter instance.

Go straight ahead into the edge, stick to it like glue and head left. Begin going down the slope (still sticking to the edge), and when the "railing" starts on the opposite side, turn 90 degrees and walk over.

Jump on top of the railing, down and to the left (small edge by the ground), then go down the next slope. Open the door with crescent key, powerful seaforium charge or truesilver key.

Sticking to the walls and edges is the key here. Did the quest this morning at lvl54.

Just got it then at 54, 58 hunter opened the doors for me.

no invis potion needed, can do it without wiping if careful!

no money changed hands, much <3 for shadow-prophecy

In what DM shall you go into to turn in the quest? Is it DM north, west or east?

I bought mine off the market for 2g, then it dropped yesterday in dire maul. I jump on the markey to sell my extra, only to see that its up to 90g! Easy Money.

However, as a level 54 lock, I was able to accept the quest but can't join DM in the LFG/LFM feature. :(

Just went there (Library in Dire Maul North) to turn in the book for my warlock, and it's very easy to reach alone as long as you wait for the patrols to pass.
When they pass, run to the stairs slightly to the left and jump up on the left railing or whatever you call it. It's broad, so it's more like a ramp if you know what I mean. :-)
When on the "ramp", look to your left. See the wall? Alongside it, there is a cornice or walkway or whatever it's called. :-)
Jump onto it in your best Tomb Raider style and keep running until you reach the stairs with another railing or ramp around them. Do the Tomb Raider again, and then drop down to the foot of the stairs, and you are directly in front of the big doors to the Library without spilling a drop of blood.

Of course, to do this, you need either the key to DM for both main entrance and the library door, or a rogue with you for lockpicking, or 2 x Powerful Seaforium Charge. The seaforiums worked nice for me.

Yeah.. I just got this today.

I have no clue where to turn it in..
I wonder what this quest gives :)

: Figured it out. Turn it in to an NPC elf in the western wing of Dire Maul (All class books are turned in that room). The quest rewards are seeminling random, since the NPC told me that if i recover any more tombs, they will give different stuff. The item I got was a rare (blue) warlock specific Trinket. +10 fire resist, +15 healing/damage to spells and effects. I'll find a link to it if I can log back on to find the name of the item.

: Link to the item. Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas doesn't show it, but it's Classes: Warlock.

In the earlier posts..one says to turn in the book in the library in the West wing another says North wing..Note that the library connects these two wings..so either way you go is OK.

Random? As far as I know, each book is class specific and each book gives a class specific trinket. Not a random trinket...
