slaw219, the guy ask u where to get this. u cant just say "the captain" gives u etc. u must say where in wow. which place? and which captain u mean?
and if it is a Horde or Alliance quest.

cuz i need to now too. plz tell me :)

In order to get the quest for this beauty (which I, as a Paladin (heal-spec), am using), you need to the following things :

Bring 8 Rugged Leather, 4 Bolts of Runecloth and 2 Rune Thread with you into the North (Ogre) Instance of Dire Maul.
Do a "Tribute Run" - this means to leave all three Guards, Stomper Kreeg, Cho'Rush and most importantly Captain Kromcrush alive. The last one can only be skipped with the Gordok Ogre Suit, for which you need the aforementioned materials as well as Ogre Tannin, which is in the same room as Knot Thimblejack, when you go left and up the ramp.
You bring the Ogre Tannin, Runecloth, Leather & Thread to Knot Thimblejack and get a nifty ogre suit.
You use the ogre suit (only one person in the party needs to do this) and talk, while under the effect of the suit, to Kromcrush.
You kill King Gordok while leaving Cho'Rush alive at the same time
You harvest your hard-earned reward from the Tribute chest, and go to Kromcrush to recieve the Quest (Only do-able AFTER you killed King Gordok)
You go to the first "room" of the instance, where Guard Mol'Dar is, and go through the door to the West Side of Dire Maul
You smash all five Pylons (MUCH easier with the Buffs you recieve if you keep all the nameds in the ogre part alive), kill the demon Immol'thar, and then proceed to introduce your weapons to Prince Thorteldrin's intestines.
You get the Gordok Gauntlet back from "tha creepy prince", return to Kromcrush through the Library part again (so that you do not lose you "King" buff from the ogres), and if you're either shaman or healerpaladin, you grab these ....

just to make this clear to all retards on god's green earth...

heals take mana, have a casting time, and are considered magic, therefore, they are spells. and the gloves have a 1% crit increase to SPELLS

if you dont believe me, ask any priest, druid, shammy, or pally and they will laugh at you for 4-5 hours and then put you on their ignore list for being dumb...

That figures that it would be shammy gear, theres none for hunters, but theres a peice for shammys. 2 factions can be hunters, and 3 races in each faction. Only the horde can be shawman, and only 3 racdes in that faction. Now who has a larger chance of being played, a hunter, or a shawman. And according to this, who should the gaer be more geared towards. Its obvious that hunters should have more options than shawman, but its the oposite.

These gloves are crap for hunters. They could have at least put some agility on them, so that the 2/3 of the mail-wearing players in the game (Alliance hunters, horde hunters) could get SOME sort of benefit. WTF am I gonna do with 1% spell crit? fire 100 arcane shots and hope one of them hits for an extra 183 dmg? Give me a break, Blizz. I really hate to use this line, because I get annoyed at the "nerf shams" complaint, but there is some VERY obvious favoritism here, and this comes on top of the even more obvious favoritism in Blizzard's craftable mail items, about 2/3 of which are useful to shams, while only about 1/2 of them are useful for hunters. This is getting ridiculous..

While the poster above has some valid points about a seeming lack of mail enhancement/elemental shaman gloves...you may want to look at the new gear coming out of Silithus. Not the dungeons....the recipes.

The Spitfire recipes for leatherworkers are all + agility + intellect + mana regen and + healing and damage. All in all....nice additions to any specialization of shaman or hunter. And as they are crafted, they can be gained relatively easily. To my knowledge, there is not a set bonus as yet for having the bracers, gauntlets and chest as yet, but perhaps in 1.10.

Yet another quest with piss poor rewards for hunters.

Can anyone tell me some quests that have decent hunter gear for the reward? Blue or high quality greens at 50+ level range? Maybe I'm just missing them.

Dam, hunters dont complain that much, its just a quest reward good for shammys, so what? there is enough left for hunters.. hunters are indeed 2/3 but mostly have a 80% chance to win from a enhancement shaman, becouse of their small arrange of mana.. If you guys need a quest item more to increase your char even more, it doesn't change a thing, you will own some classes just as easy as normal, and get owned by other classes just as normal. nothing changes

because the plate reward is god awful for holy pallies, im gonna grab these. the spell crit is nice, because with proper speccing, a paladin can make full use of the crit. 100 mana regen on a crit heal? yes please.

From my exp with the quest, the equip type is per class, but the stats are always the same, a.k.a. mages get cloth, druids get leather, pallies get plate, etc.
