When it dies you can loot the body to recover some of the materials, just like a target dummy.

Junk item, not worth the materials to make as it is a pulse and doesn't really help to detect anything.

With the material cost I was suprised and disappointed that the item was used when releasing the bot. I assumed that it would have a cooldown similar to a battlestandard, but it doesn't.

The one time I made one it expired before a rogue came by.

What would you use it for? It seems horrendously expensive for something that only lasts ten minutes.

You use it for helping to point out stealthed enemies trying to get the drop on you. And its not really a waste because you get all the mat's back if you loot it.

You say you get all parts back. Is it then possible to remake them to lvl up your enginering? At no cost at all?

i made 1 yesterday and when i looted it, i got 2 heavy leater and 1 bronze framework =/ so big loss in mats i'll stick with my Catseye Ultra Goggles when i know a rogue is around cus' i'm not putting out ~8g in mats every time a rogue tries to gank me, even if he does, let him have the HK and i'll save my money for something else =P

Wow, this was the most expensive engineering point I have ever paid for. I looted back 4 thorium bars, 1 rugged leather and 1 fused wiring. That's it. Cost 10 thorium bars to make... on my server thorium bars sell for over 1G per bar. Rugged leather is expensive as well as other mats. This is ridiculous. Should be a long cooldown like most other items, not single use. C'mon blizzard, either make this FAR cheaper to make, or get rid of the STUPID single use.

I definately won't me making one again. I'ld rather get killed.

I'm a lvl 43 Blood Elf hunter so this robot is usless for me because i have flairs that show me invisible targets, but i was reading all the comments and evry one was complaining about the fused wring. that stuff is so freaken easy to get, yea its annoying to farm for it when you need some anf dont have any but i use my advanced target dummys all the time, if i play dead to soon i pop the target dummy and it gives me the chance to lay my traps and a goblin land mine and get my cool down, ive ogtten 5 of these without even trying, and becides engeneering was never about making things that are amaizingly usefull, engeneerings about having fun. and BTW ive got a lbl 52 mithril dragonling! i love it.

it says there is a10 min cooldown... does that mean its reusable now, oyu you gotta wait 10 min between using the stack of them?

I just started engineering with a new alt pally, and I was wondering how useful this is in the battlegrounds. For example, setting it in a hiding spot and using it to detect ninjas trying to take a flag or sneek up on a unsuspecting duo. Any info would be extremely useful.

It's single use it's garbage bleh why make such an expensive and mostly useless toy as range is terrible

This item is single use, but when it dies/expires, you can loot almost all of the parts back so you can make it again.

This is really useful if you want to build up your engineering points without having to make a ton of full-set items. Just make this, wait 10 minutes, and loot the parts... then make it again. You get full credit each time. It seems to lose one thorium bar each time for me.

it is pretty uselss, but it is cute!

remember to loot it after it poofs, like the target dummies. it returned most of the parts to me.

I have made many odd devices in my time. This is however as close to useless as any of them have come.

It's a single use thing that will disappear after 10 min OR as soon as you are killed. I spent loads buying the schematic, like 10G in parts making one, triggered it, got overrun in Hillsbrad and that was that.

as a hunter engineer this is the most worthless thing you could spend gold on. We have track hidden, and it doesnt cost an insane amount of gold for schemata or parts. I guess if you were a different class it could come in handy? then again maybe not.
