This is probably one of the most useful items for any engineer. A lot of people diss the jumper cables because of their low success rate, but the XL cables seem to have about an 80% success.

You must be a Goblin Engineer to MAKE these cables, but they can be used by any Engineer with sufficient skill. I make them for all my engineer friends because on my server the schematic is rather expensive. They're BoE and non-Unique, so one Goblin engineer can suit up an entire guild full of Engineers in these.

Very useful - example: Last night, after killing the boss before the Emperor's Room in BRD, the rest of the group stood in the path of the flamethrowers and died. We would have had to clear our way all the way back up to that room if my jumper cables hadn't worked and rezzed the priest.

Got this from Plugger on first run. Lots of materials.

-Have to be Goblin Engineer to make.
-Have to be Engineer to use (Gnomish is fine)

Anyone know how much better the rez success rate is with these than the standard cables?

normal cables = 25%
XL = 75%

im not sure if u can equip if ur not engineer with required skill level but u definitely hav to b that lvl engineering to use them.

Can you use the normal jumper cables, and it doesn't work, equip the XL, and use it?
Because that would be neat.

In a very long BRD run where nearly every boss was killed, used the XL 5 times failed only once (we had a shmn in the group so we alternated on wipes between ankhs and cables)

I am thrilled I got the recipe for only 35g - have seen the recipe for no less than 50g-75g since and the cables themselves for the same $ which is a better deal since you don't need to pay for the matz in AH

definitely worth it tho!

I've been chain killing Plugger lately, he drops these and a BoP green leather vest almost constantly .. been giving the schematics away in IF ;p

I got this from Plugger a couple days ago. I was VERY surprised to get them, but I sure wasn't complaining. As I'm farming BRD for fun and profit anyway (it's one of the few places a 60th rogue can solo in peace and quiet on Arthas), I sold the schematic for 150g after about 20 minutes in the trade channel. I could probably have gotten more, but that's about what I was hoping for, and now I can finally afford my epic mount! Wahooo! Now I need to get more so my engie alt can have some cables.

These don't seem to be more reliable in my experience but are on a different cooldown than the normal jumper cables.

Is this schematic one of the Limited buy recipes that Plugger sells, or is it only lootable off of Plugger's cold dead corpse?

You need goblin engineering to make, but gnomish engineers can still use them. You just have to buy them off a goblin engineer.

These sell almost instantly on Durotan for 10g. I've sold 6 so far, and they've not lasted more than 5 minutes at the AH. Need to raise my prices I think, hehe.

These, at least in my experience, have a substantially higher drop rate than 17% I've done 20 kills at this point and I've had 9 of them drop. They sell for 2-3g.
