This drop rate is insanely low considering these are the ONLY plate boots drop with +intellect. I hope that it's actually higher and this is just inaccurate.

Is there a way to *NOT* have to clear all the damned students first? Sooooo tedious, and they have abnormal amounts of HP imo....then nothing but a Scourgestone dropped off Marduk and Vectus. Ugg.

these finally droped for me today. i stoped counting the amount of runs a looooooong time ago. These are very nice. They are black with red outlines. I can post a pic if anyone wants. Kinda looks funky with my LF and deathgrips :p but i like em

To clear the room you need Dawn's Gambit. It makes the students that are elite weak ass skeletons. This quest chain is started in Burning Steppes from Tinkee. She makes you run to bum*!@# egypt and back... (sigh)

Im still tryin to get these boots its like a 20% chance to get any loot from him or vectus. Vectus also drops phat lewt for casters...

sorry guys - got on first time against marduk. I've been to Scholo ~12-15 times but this is first I ever knew this thread existed. Course I still dont have my LF helm so whatever.

Copied from my post on ebon hilt of marduk. Have killed him recently, he still normally drops either nothing or rarely 1 of the blues and a corruptors scourgestone like 30% of the time.

The easiest way to kill Marduk Blackpool is to get dawns gambit and use it in the viewing room it turns the school kids into AoEable skellies.
It also frees up Vectus so you can try and get him to drop his nice cloth caster pants.

You get dawns gambit by doing the entire eggsciloscope questline (including the part from Winterspring) started in Burning Steppes then you can reuse the dawns gambit by getting it from Bettina in Lights Hope Chapel.

Marduk usually drops next to nothing, but with the large sum of scholomance runs he is too easy to pass up.

Since these were only added recently and are the best plate paladin boots, it seems they warrant a brief discussion!

Anyone killed Marduk recently and did he drop this or anything else?

Did an in-guild run yesterday. Going mostly for just money and scourgestones. These dropped for me in the first gambit I did. Nice boots. They are going to replace my mail boots I was using for my DPS/Normal gear. I already have the Peacekeeper for my healing set.

ive dont this guy tons of times. he never drops anything except he did drop his sword last week and luckily i won it. I want these boots so bad :D
