drops off the deathknight that a paladin has to fight for their epic mount quest. you need to clear rattlegore's entire room before doing it which takes quite awhile if you are 5 manning. it may be possible to do the quest (but not for credit) in raid if you want to farm this guy, i'm not sure. good luck on convincing your group to take the time to clear the room. oh and this is a rogue dagger imo. i'm a warlock and i picked it up cause no one else wanted it in our group (3 paladins, priest). only use i can come up for it is killing those magic immune skellies in scholo.

The biggest advantage the slow weapons have, is that their average damage is high, compared to a somewhat lower dps. Both dagger's average damage per hit are the same, so with both daggers nice ambush's or backstabs ar possible. There is a slight disadvantage, cause attack power bonus is also dependent on weapon speed. Which means your AP bonus is lowered by 10% (0.2/2), but the weapon hits 10% faster so in the end it does more damage on a total fight. Your ambush and backstab hits will be slightly lower.
Oh btw, the +ap vs undead totally makes up for this while farming in the plagues or in undead instances.

I agree with a post above that another BIG advantage is that gouge and blind are not interrupted by the stupid DoT. It gets even worse when going to MC, coz rend takes one debuff slot (from the 8 available), so it is forbidden to use the shanker there (for some bosses).

Was helping a pala yesterday and it dropped, so i sold my shanker and i'm using this one now!

A hunter with a brain for once. Crit% and agil only, relying only on ranged weapons like they should. Thats why they are given pets! Pets melee, hunters shoot from distance. If your a hunter and you find yourself constantly in melee fights, you just suck at that class, plain and simple

About the people saying hunters need agi and crit, no need to bother. The guys who said hunter weapon were making a retarded attempt at humor..

Yes, you can get this done on horde side. It's a lvl 60 shaman quest that gets them a lvl 60 epic helm, but it's a quest that requires luck and strategy to complete (a spawn of 9 60s elites)

Got it on my second try. It actually has a 25% droprate. (Darkreaver drops one of four blues.)

You need a paladin who has completed his epic mount quest if you want to raid this. I tried to have a paladin who was on the quest help me but it didn't work. His scryer disappeared from his bag when he joined the raid.

A paladin who has completed the quest can get new Divination Scryers from Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker (paladin trainer in Stormwind) as many times as he/she desires. Relog if you have problems, seems to fix the bugs.

Darkreaver is super easy with 10 players. Be sure to have enough AoE though because the fourth wave is definitely harder than Darkreaver himself, who goes down quickly if you have decent DPS.

The first time for me was easy but the second was a little more difficult because our healer was a feral druid, and we only had 7, and our Warlock was our only AoE. (But it worked.) Make sure to have a pally or two who can do the seals... that helps more than anything else.

(1) Seal of Wisdom
(2) Seal of Justice
(3) Seal of Righteousness
(4) Seal of Light

This is definitely the most feasibly attainable decent pre-MC dagger. I highly recommend it and I don't understand why more rogues aren't interested in it.

heart seeker hardly pwns all, its good ill agree as a shanker substitute butyou might as well just go get a group and farm crimson templars and hope for the stilletto.

I'd rather go with a thunderwood poker in my main hand and a bonescraper in my off. They are both preMC and much more benificial imo. I'd rather have the ring drop for a warlock or the axe drop for some enhancement shaman.

After todays patch this one is better than barman shanker.. And i hate barman shanker because of the damn procc, cant blind them(ofc its good against other rogues so they cant escape)

Not that simple.

The only way to summon this mob is:
1- Paladin mount quest.
2- Shaman helm quest.

The good drops are the wand and dagger.

Both are 5 man runs and you need a Shaman or Pally with the quest.

The encounter of this mob is rare and most people do not have any experience or knowledge about the fight until they are already in it. So you need a bit of patience and the mentality that it will take 2 or 3 tries. Biggest problem for me is that most 60's are used to raiding the instance and are used to pulling as if they had a 10-man raid.

For Paladins, by the time they get this quest they spent aprox. 540G for the mount and they do not have the mount, there is also no option for a refund. So if you're alliance and you know a Pally that needs the quest you can be SURE he's not going to drop it.

Net value of Pally quest, 800-540=260. So for paladins this is "like" a 260g quest for their mount fund. 260g for a quest is not bad at all, even if it's a quest like this that could take 2 weeks unless you have a good guild supporting you, but some could prefer paying extra 260g.
